The previous reviews are spot on for the the fabulous experience we had October 15, 2016. Our gracious, lovely host greeted us and we knew as we stepped over E.A.'s threshold that we had just met a new friend. Our room was beautiful, spacious, full of antiquities and oh so comfortable. Regretfully, it was just one night's stay. Dinner was...

Thank you Elizabeth Ann for being such a wonderful host! Your home is gorgeous and your cooking binge-worthy! My only wish is we could have stayed longer. Scaurbridge House was a great start to our Scottish holiday! Looking forward to the next time already!

Our family of four stayed with Elizabeth Ann at the end of June. Our only regret was that it was only for one night. She was a gracious host and welcomed us to her home as if we were long lost relatives. Each room has so much character and are beautifully decorated. If you are lucky enough to be around...

Our annual trip to Scotland would not be complete if it did not begin with a stay with Elizabeth Ann at beautiful Scaurbridge House. The comfort and hospitality are first class and Elizabeth Ann's cooking is sublime. We always say that this is the best food of the holiday and I strongly recommend booking dinner. Here is the menu we...

I would encourage anyone to go and spend some time at Scaurbridge House. Tango loving Elizabeth is the perfect host with whom you can while away hours chatting if you so chose. Scaurbridge and Elizabeth have certainly left an impression on me and not only will I return but I have a feeling I've found a true Pearl and a...

Fantastic place to stay, Georgian house on outskirts of Penpont with great access to the beautiful Scaur and Shinnel glens. Elizabeth Ann is the perfect host, breakfast was superb with great attentiont to detail: proper coffee (even by Italian boyfriend's exacting standards), rhubarb stewed with strawberries and orange, perfect scones including recipe and technique. E.A is a fount of knowledge,...

This is a special place to stay - a real haven. I spent one night at Scaurbridge House as part of a long distance cycle ride, and soon wished I had scheduled an extra night there. The house is magnificently stylish but Elizabeth Ann's warm welcome is what I will remember most. She is an accomplished hostess, unobtrusively making her...

We stayed only for one night but it was the best place we stayed at in all of Scotland. Elizabeth Ann could not have been more welcoming, and bent over backwards to assist us in getting the most out of our stay. She even arranged to have a local museum opened particularly for us, so that I could further my...

We were on a short collection visit to Drumlanrig Castle and found Elizabeth's place from an online search. Didn't I do well. Elizabeth Ann is the perfect hostess, She is well traveled and very well educated add to that the fact that she is an excellent cook with recipes to share, 12:4:4 and 45 minutes at 150 Degrees in a...

This was a 1-night break away for my wife and me to celebrate our wedding anniversary. With a warm welcome to the wonderful Scaurbridge House by Elizabeth-Ann, we immediately began to do that most precious of things - actually relax and unwind properly. The house is set in a beautiful part of the world and we highly recommend the river...
