We are on holiday in dirleton so the Castle Inn is our local. This is the second time we have been this week sbd the second time we haven’t been disappointed! We had three dogs in tow and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating…. They were fabulous! We had lunch here on Monday and an evening meal tonight. The food was amazing! Fresh and fabulous and full of flavour on both occasions. I can thoroughly recommend the grilled prawns with garlic snd chilli to start and the Cullen skink on the specials board was to die for . As was the plum crumble. I have no negatives to offer. Cannot recommend more highly.

Delicious evening supper. Haddock and chips completely brilliant. So unusual to get decent triple cooked chips that are from low sugar potatoes with high dry matter. Very fairly priced wine and beer. Great atmosphere and excellent staff. Highly recommended!

Booked for a 4 night stay whilst visiting friend in Gullane. It was a good choice - nice location, all staff very helpful and excellent food. Breakfasts were super and the two evening meals we had could not be faulted. The meals we had elsewhere did not match the Castle Inn for quality and standard of service in the restaurant. Would visit again !

Staying at Yellowcraigs caravan site and after research found Castle Inn had good reviews and was a short and lovely countryside walk away. Certainly was not disappointed. Had lovely meal. Fish and chips was amazing. My wife had the chicken and leak pie which she also enjoyed. The Pentland IPA is worth a try too. Very dog friendly. Sat outside in a lovely beer garden. Very sheltered an sunny. Staff were great and so friendly. Highly recommend.
