Stayed at Forest Lodge last week after walking 24 miles of the GGW. Just needed a bed really but David and Alison's hospitality made it a very nice and welcome stay. Alison even offered to come and pick me up at Laggan Locks to save me walking the last half mile to the lodge. Good clean room, great breakfast and...

We walked the Great Glen Way and stayed here for one night. Tiered from our walk they offered us to bring us with the car to the place we want to eat. The owner of the pub bought us back to Forest Lodge. So very nice and very helpfull. And all because they said we had walked enough. The room...

We were walking the Great Glen Way and booked a night here for £70. We helped ourselves to tea, coffee and cake on arrival and were given a lift to the Eagle Barge Inn for dinner (you must book) by our host Dave. The barmaid from the pub ran us back!! The room was lovely and quiet, the breakfast great...

After a days long walk this place was an ideal stop over. Tea and cakes were made by the owner Alison on arrival which we had in the sun room. There is a large lounge area to relax in with TV and loads of books to read. For evening meal David will drive you to the Great Glen Water park...

We arrived after a long day of hiking and we were offered tea and cake upon our arrival. Such a nice surprise! The place also has a nice living room where you can socialize with the other guests. The following day we also got a lift to the start of our hike which was a treat.

The b&b has everything you need: clean and comfortable rooms, good parking lot, surrounded by nature, strategically located (by car is 18 minutes to Fort Augustus, 33 to Fort William, 43 to Urquhart Castle on the Loch Ness, 60 to Eilean Donan Castle, 70 to Inverness and 90 to Isle of Skye). I recommend to stay there if you plan...

An excellent bed and breakfast for the end of a long day heading south on the Great Glen Way. Thanks to Alison and David for an hospitable welcome, good facilities and accommodation and help with transportation to and from the Eagle Barge at Laggan Lock. A full and good breakfast. Only drawback the shortish walk alongside the main A82 road...

The owners greated us and made us feel very welcome. It is a very nice spot to stay with easy access to major routes. I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay for those touring in the area or those on active holidays.

Alison welcomed us in and offered us free cake and coffee in the guest lounge, which was a great way to recover from our 14 mile walk. Dave drove us down to The Eagle Barge for the evening meal, and they drove us back. This is safer than trying to walk along the A82 in the dark. The room was...

Thanks for the review John. As you say there are not many B&Bs locally but we would hope this should not affect our own standards anyway as we try hard to give good service and good value for money. Glad you enjoyed your breakfast.
