This is more that a bed & breakfast, it is an absolute oasis in your holiday journey. It is a little remote but when you wake in the morning and look at your surroundings you will totally agree it is unique.

From the minute you arrive, you are made to feel totally welcome as you are introduced to your room that has everything. A luxurious bed for a great nights sleep, a shower that gives you room to move and wash, a smart TV to keep you amused at night, huge selection of hot drink options and even a small table to eat from.

I have left the best until last, the breakfast. Ordering the night before will amaze you based on the choice. It is delivered to your room at your allocated time in the morning and you will definitely struggle to finish the beautifully cooked offering.

Can’t fault this B&B on anything

Having been driving and camping the NC500 for about a week we were ecstatic to spend the night at the Rivoulich Lodge. The owners were very welcoming and attentive (with the most beautiful, funny dog, Bailey) who made our stay very comfortable. The rooms are clean and warm and the shower and bed were amazing after having not had one in so long. We were very appreciative of the mini cheddars in the room! We unfortunately didn’t stop for breakfast but it all sounded lovely.

I would suggest having a good look at the map before you travel though as it was a little hard to find ... we were driving a convertible (the owners said they had had to trade their Z4 in) so we had to take it a little slow up the country roads but other than that 10/10. Also the owners suggested that you’d get a much better deal if you book direct with them so something to consider!

Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable, and the cooked breakfast was outstanding. The hosts were extremely welcoming, we would very much recommend a stay to anybody. We only stayed for one night but would have loved to have stayed for much longer!

Wonderful place, cosy and comfortable rooms in a great location, making it the perfect stop off on our trip of the Great Glen. Pauline and Mark were amazing hosts, extremely welcoming and accommodating making us feel right at home. The home-cooked food was also delicious, with a wide range of choice on the breakfast menu!

We stayed one night at Rivoulich Lodge on our way north to Inverness on the Great Glen Way.

I could not recommend Mark & Pauline's B&B more highly. Only 200m off the path, this was a fabulous find. Very comfortable, quiet and super clean. Our hosts were most attentive, charming and thoughtful. Due to the remote location, we elected to 'eat in' for our evening meal. Pauline is a fantastic cook and not only did we enjoy the very generous and delicious Cullen Skink, but also the tastiest of fruit Crumbles. Breakfast was perfect prior to another day of walking and very, very good. The packed lunch receives 6 stars, delicious, very tasty and generous. I loved the tuna sweetcorn sandwiches and home-cooked shortbread.
Even though we were walking, Mark went the extra mile, delivering to Inverness something I'd left in the room. Thank you.

I hope Rivoulich Lodge does very well from passing walkers and tourers of the Highlands alike. A gem and a highlight of our holiday.

So enjoyed our recent stay at Rivoulich Lodge. It is in a wonderfully peaceful location with beautiful scenery all around. Our room was amazing with great view over towards Glen Affric. We had an enormous comfy bed which was like sleeping on a cloud and a huge powerful shower. All most welcome after our days of walking the Great Glen. Loved the decor & the really nice locally sourced toiletries. Would highly recommend having dinner there as well as breakfast as the food was so delicious. They are happy for you to bring your own wine too. Mark & Pauline are great hosts and could not have done enough for us. Thank you for a great experience and hope to stay with you again at some point.

Our stay at Rivoulich lodge was very pleasant, one of the best nights sleep on our trip so far. Mark and Pauline are fabulous hosts and are so easy to communicate with. The room was pristine and we had everything we could need.

We decided to add on having breakfast at the property and were not disappointed. Breakfast was delicious. My partners dairy allergy was taken seriously and they were able to cater to his needs fine. We chose to have dinner out at one of the local pubs, that was recommended by Mark, which was very nice.

The only thing to note is that the property’s location is a little bit off of the beaten track so be prepared for a bit of a drive to the local village. However, this should not put you off what is an absolutely brilliant property, with stunning views.

Wowed by this place....

A 10 minute drive away from Loch Ness, through remote beauty, we arrived at Rivoulich Lodge.

Greeted by our friendly hosts, we were taken to our wonderfully clean and well appointed rooms.

Light, airy and with an amazingly comfortable bed, we slept like a dream.

The hosts were utterly splendid, giving us information about the local area, tips on where to walk and wildlife to look out for.

The breakfast was delicious and the best we had on the trip. I had the full Scottish breakfast and could not fault a thing. Constructive criticism would be that there were a little too generous with the toast, and I felt bad having to leave a fair amount.

If you are looking for restful, comfortable stay, in an idyllic setting, then this is the place for you.

My only annoyance is that we didn't stay here for longer..

We stayed for one night on our Scottish road trip. Rivoulich Lodge is well off the beaten track so beautifully quiet and surrounded by gorgeous countryside. We were spoiled by the Scottish weather and were able to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine while the sun set. The room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Pauline and Mark were lovely accommodating hosts and the home cooked breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommended.

A super B&B which is presented with attention to detail and a high level of cleanliness. We stayed in Ness room; the bathroom is very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. As a relatively new business, Mark and Pauline are to be congratulated on what they have achieved and I would recommend a stay at Rivoulich Lodge without hesitation.
