I spent 3 days in quarantine with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean directly from my bed. Javon kindly stocked the room with some groceries and let me know where I could order food for takeout because the restaurant had not yet reopened. The town of Bathsheba and the Andromeda Botanic Gardens were both easy walks away (once I had cleared the 2nd COVID test).
This reminds me a lot of home . Opened to the sea and the atmosphere is really laid back. The staff seems to be doing a pretty efficient job.. food is tasty and the presentation was nice. In my opinion. Would recommend this place. Good job guys . Regards Bequia
I almost don't want to write this review - I loved our time there so much and I want to keep it a secret!! It is much quieter and the seas are much wilder than any other part of the island and we really enjoyed the ability to dip into the busier areas of Barbados and then returning to the tranquility of the hotel.
We usually stay on the west or south coasts of Barbados but this time we opted for the east coast....and glad we did. Such a different and amazing experience. The Atlantis Historic Inn offered a refuge away from the traffic, hustle and bustle of the west coast. We booked very last minute so did not have an ocean view but the room was great and very quiet (except for the ocean breakers). The staff, meals and location all perfect, which is not something I say lightly. You need to be aware that it is definitely "out of the way" so if you want to visit the west coast or other attractions on island it would be best to have a rental car. We would definitely stay here again and most definitely visit for dinner or lunch as the food is exceptional.
We went to lunch here two weeks ago. The food was great and the scenery was drop dead gorgeous. A sign on the wall dared us to be spontaneous and spend a night. So we did, two weeks later on New Year's Eve. We were lucky enough to get the 3 Boys Oceanfront Suite . Large clean room well appointed with a King size comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room and tolietries. Wifi was excellent. We had issues with the tv but didn't want to spend time doing that anyway. Fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean. Not advisable to swim here due to strong ocean currents but we enjoyed the pool. Atlantis is located on the East Coast which remains untouched by the "sophistication" of the West Coast. Hurray!! So not for the people in search of excitement and bright lights. Quiet getaway with stunning views and excellent food. The food would require another review but Kudos to Chef St John and his team. Kudos to Assistant Manager Millar for making us feel so welcome and to the lovely Shamarriah who looked after us at dinner, breakfast & lunch.…
