I spent 10 days here and I cannot fault anything. My room was large and looked like new, not too much natural light but very good lighting. The food was buffet style breakfast and dinner with a wide choice and all excellent. You could have what you wanted but it was served by staff as a safety measure because of the virus. The Taverna for lunch was very reasonably priced, again with very good food and good sized portions. The wifi was strong everywhere in the hotel, including in my room. There is an abundance of sports especially on the sea. The beach is across a very quiet road from the hotel. It is very fine sand, almost dusty, with the odd stone and shingle, and has sun beds and umbrellas. I was not sure about leaving my belongings on the beach as I was on my own but after going out there and seeing it I had no problem. The hotel is on its own and nobody apart from hotel guests go there, there is nobody else around. The sea is like glass early morning and gets choppier from late morning onwards and can be quite choppy in the afternoons. It is stony about thigh deep for the first half as you walk out and then sand for the second half to a depth of about 4 1/2 feet. Paleros village is 1 1/2 miles away and well worth a visit.
Final word for the staff, all so polite and helpful, wonderful.
I will come back.

We recently stayed for 2 weeks half board, we booked very last minute due to COVID quarantine restrictions.
On arrival we were blown away with the beautifully built resort, the 3 swimming pools, the beach bar, taverna and rooms, all so perfect.
The weather was amazing 34c with one day where the cyclone hit.
We chose MW mainly for the kids clubs. We took our 18 month daughter and it was fantastic! It gave us time as a couple to get some R&R and enjoy the water sports and cycle in the town each morning.
Kids club: our daughter stayed each morning 9-12.30, the British staff were amazing, so so good with our daughter, she loved it. A special thank you to Ellie, Will, Claire and Anya, lovely people!
Out and about: Whilst our daughter was in club we took our bikes to Paleros, a 10 min cycle or a 20/30 walk, the small Greek village is stunning, small bars and restaurants and marina. We loved it there. If you turn right out of resort there are 4 beach bars, a nice change of scenery and chill with a cold drink by the sea.
Baby sitting: they do a drop off kids club 730-1030pm but our daughter didn’t like this so on a couple of evenings we paid for one the kids club staff to baby sit in our room, €15 an hour was so worth it to enjoy a meal or drinks out In the town.

The swimming pools were gorgeous & the entertainment fun. The whole place is ran fantastically, Leah the Operations manager works tirelessly to keep everyone happy, she was great!

Water sports:
All most included and right outside the hotel, a great perk. I finally got to try paddle boarding and I loved it!

Beach: the beach isn’t the best, quite Rocky and doesn’t look crystal clear due to the rocks underneath, but the water is clear and very warm, take beach shoes to enter the sea!

Food: Buffett Service due to COVID, the staff in the restaurant work so hard, they are also so friendly! Food was great, could not complain at all.

Beach bar: we really appreciated they didn’t take advantage of their fairly remote location with high pricing. I really respected this. Hats off to Mark Warner, €1 for a large bottle of water, €4 for a large beer, €3 for a can of coke and happy hour each day 6-7pm. Very good, even offered baguettes for €4 if you didn’t want to sit down at the taverna for lunch.

Reception staff so friendly and helpful, cleaners do a great job daily, all staff in fact, you just couldn’t fault.
After a hard year, 2 weeks here worked so perfectly for us with a 18 month old. A really super holiday with zero complaints!

Escaping from the UK and recent events and being among the first UK tourists to Greece and the MW season, there was a sense of relief to arrive at this lovely resort two weeks ago. Paleros faces a pretty enclosed bay and is a collection of low rise buildings set around 2 pools. The rooms are clean and a good size with WiFi, decent linens and a little fridge. We were there when it was about 1/3 full so it was blissful, really peaceful and plenty of tables, seats, loungers and water sport equipment for everyone. The obligatory safety measures in place did very little to impact and in fact the increased hygiene at the buffet with you being served is something I would welcome all the time. All staff wear masks inside but guests do not have to when on resort or at the beach. The adult pool was beautiful and doing early morning lengths as the sun shone was pretty close to paradise. The food was very good and very varied and the house wine also decent. My kids all did various water sports and courses and a huge thanks must go to Jamie and his team who really made this holiday great fun for them. Ellie is also fantastic, and my youngest enjoyed her kids club experience. What I like about MW holidays is that there is no pressure to do anything but there is lots on if you want to be active. This resort has a really intimate feel and as the staff ably led by Leah and Natasha are all so welcoming and friendly, it is easy to relax into things. The walk into pretty Paleros is easy enough and a good way to break up the sun bathing and water sports! If I had any reservations it would be that the road between the beach and resort is busy and the gates are quite often left open so I would worry if I had little ones as there is no barrier between the beach and the road. I would also like to see more obvious night time security. The beach itself is not that great, and it could be kept cleaner and swept or raked daily to make the most of it. However swimming in the clear warm water watching the fish and the mountains was just perfect. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend an escape this summer if you can... several guests extended their stay and we wish we could have been with them!

I decided to try mark Warner ‘Club Week’ at Paleros what an error – don’t fall into the same disappointing trap.

It was advertised with Sunday afternoon flights and an Adult only week.
It was not.

Within 24hrs of booking the flight had been changed to 6.50 meaning:
An overnight stay in Gatwick, the loss of a day’s work

The flight had kids on including a family with a small crying child behind me and a toddler that consistently kicked the back of my seat.

On arrival my room was sub cleaned and had a worn feeling, including half used tea and coffee kit from another hotel and no teaspoons or milk, no slippers, no robe, no do not disturb door tag etc and a pair of single beds !

The fitness ‘pavilion’ was covered in black porous tiles that soaked in the rain and made any exercise a messy damp experience and all white t shirts ruined.

The ‘entertainment’ was like something out of a student’s union, the welcome drinks evening was lacklustre and largely made up of queuing at the bar to buy your own welcome drink. The reception didn’t seem to have anything (even an adaptor to borrow on the day the ‘shop’ was shut).

Food was fine but buffet style which given we are in peak COVID times seemed risky and unappealing and the restaurant was also inundated with kids running about so I ate in the local village more than I expected to. No room service, no a la carte. No water fountains or water on the table at dinner only single use plastic bottles available to buy.

Rainy day, all gathered in the communal areas, kids screeching, bored staff playing video games without earphones, nowhere to relax or read in peace. Just other guests telling of their stories of gloom, lost luggage, lack of pick up from airport etc. There was a masseuse but not working from the spa (which was shut the whole time) but a temporary room near the main entrance with no curtain!?

I had an automated response from MW customer service when I contacted them on my return and of course their social feeds have been pulled down since they failed to give anyone their deposits back when COVID hit and were inundated with negative comments.

All in all a very disappointing first experience of Mark Warner and not at all what I had been expecting. I will not be returning and advise people to think carefully before making the same mistake.

This was a last minute booking, and our first time to a Mark Warner Resort.
We can’t really fault the whole experience - especially if you are looking for a holiday where your children get whisked off to the fantastic kids Club & make best friends within a day! My 13 & 9 yr old loved the experience & were so sad to leave. The resort is a nice size, not too big. Everything is modern, well maintained and clean. The food is good. Options at lunchtime limited when the hotel is busy, but wasn’t really an issue.
The family room we had was very comfortable, nice big beds, well air conditioned and spotlessly clean. There is lots to do if you want to, but you can also choose just to relax! The kids club is really well thought through, and definitely made the holiday for us. The resort feels safe for teenagers to wander around freely. I loved taking out a bike & cycling along to the village of Paleros for a morning coffee. There is not an awful lot else close by to the resort. The staff both Mark Warner and the Greek staff are great, nothing is too much trouble and they are eager to please. Natasa the Manager in particular works so hard to ensure all the guests are happy, and was especially helpful to us when we needed help & advice. Little touches like late check out of rooms/food provided for a late flight home are examples of great customer service.

So having experienced Mark Warner for the fist time on this holiday we decided the concept defintely suited us as a family. We went as a couple with our 14 year old son. Son made extensive use of the water sports, learning to scuba dive and water ski, husband did introduction to sailing, and all of us used the exercise classes. Special shout out to Roz and Natalia for their great classes, and Natalia's early morning walks!
We found all the equipment to be of a good standard, but the booking of watersports could be frustrating at times. Even if you are there at 9am you may not get a slot for the next day! The adult pool is lovely and was pretty quiet when we were there, beach has plenty of sunbeds and again was fairly quiet. It is very rocky (and a bit ouchey!) getting into the sea, I recommend waterproof shoes.
Accomdation was lovely, room cleaning of a very high standard, the resort is clean, tidy and well kept. The bars are fine, the pool bar often understaffed though, the beach bar is better staffed. All local staff are great and work very hard. The restaurant is good, breakfast is fantastic with so many choices, dinner has lots of choices but somehow felt very "samey" the second week.
The taverna for lunch is hit and miss, food is ok but service can be slow and a bit haphazard. It's worth getting baguettes from the bars instead (cheap and filling), or cycle to the village for lunch (10 minute ride). On the subject of the village, we recommend Dionysus, food, wine and service absolutely excellent! Get a taxi there in the evening and walk back, there's a coastal road which is flat and easy, it will take you about 30 minutes.
Our teen wants me to say that he found the Indy club boring, they just seemed to play water polo in the morning then that was it. Surely it could be better than that? Perhaps it was because school holidays had not got into full swing.
Things that could be better
1. jugs of free water with dinner or lunch on the table, dont make people buy plastic bottles of water, it's terrible for the environment but also a bit mean. Also perhaps give (or sell cheaply) a Mark Warner resuable water bottle to everyone on arrival.
2. If watersports are under pressure, don't let people book too many slots, resrict them to one.

On the whole, a great holiday, would defintely consider doing MW again.

We had a wonderful week in September 2019 followed by another equally wonderful week at the end of this September.

It was such a balm to be out of the UK, away from all the dire news, and to just reconnect with normal life again.

The resort is tip top; rooms large and comfortable, super buffets served a little differently this year by hard working local staff, wide choice of water sports run by a great team headed by Jamie, (for once I did not need to use the services of the safety boat), lots of cycle rides and tennis.

Of course, the main pool is also very stylish for those who just want to relax.

The village of Paleros is close-by and very authentically Greek.
Thanks to Natasha and all her team.

Roll on September 2021 for another return visit.

We had a last minute family stay, our first Mark Warner experience and it was absolutely perfect.

The resort is a really easy transfer from the airport and it was made so easy by the MW staff. The resort was re built in recent years, and it is beautiful with thoughtful planting and stylish buildings and cafe/bar/restaurant areas.

The rooms are extremely comfortable, modern and stylish with quiet but effective air conditioning as well as a fridge and modern spacious bathroom. The rooms are kept immaculate by the brilliant housekeeping team.

Our 8 year old loved the kids club (special thank you to Isla!) who within their varied activities took the kids to the waterfront daily, allowing our son to try windsurfing, sailing and kayaking as part of the programme. There were fun filled afternoon sessions and evening provision until 1030, and kids high tea provided from 5-6 was the best kids tea I've ever seen anywhere! The restaurant and catering staff are all brilliant, so friendly and kind. The food on offer was exceptional, with a buffet that had different options every night including traditional Greek options, the charcoal grill in action every day, and lots of other freshly cooked delicious choices- it was hard to choose what to have as it was all so good. Natasa the manager is always checking in and is so attentive and responsive, she runs things very well indeed and is excellent. Harry from the waterfront was a star and taught my husband and son to sail for the very first time- so special and unforgettable. Thank you to everyone at Paleros, we had the most wonderful time.

Just returned from a week in Paleros beach club with friends. The resort is lovely with a great layout, superb pools, and wonderful rooms. The restaurant bars and quality of food was also excellent. Sadly, we were disappointed with the activities – not enough bikes for this resort resulted in over subscribed organised tours and a general lack of availability of bikes to take out. The water skiing was also oversubscribed only having one boat, which resulted in long queues to get a water-ski or wakeboard tow. Water skiing/wakeboarding was also an additional cost whereas Neilson offer 2 inclusive tows in their price. No inclusive tennis sessions (something Neilson do particularly well) only social tennis which was poorly organised and oversubscribed. We’ve done lots of Neilson activity holidays and I have to say the customer service and visitor interaction between staff is so much better. Look at what Neilson are doing Mark Warner and this could be a great resort!

Had a fabulous week at MW Paleros Beach. Hotel is brilliant and rooms big, clean and well serviced. Food is good and the bars and taverna all excellent. Staff are super helpful & friendly. The MW team are excellent and really helpful. They cope really well with the challenges of teenagers which was helpful. Sports facilities are good. MW is expensive, but if you make use of the facilities it is worth it. Local town is about 1.5 miles away with an okay stroll along the coast. Nice restaurants and recommend the Yacht Club at night with sofas on the beach.

Hi there, We were in paleros for three weeks from 19th July. When we were there, you only had to wear masks in reception and taxis but that may have changed – I suggest you check the Greek government website I can’t copy and paste screenshots of the activities into this post but I can tell you that most bike rides started between 9 and 930 in the morning except the grand tour which started at 8am. There are some great rides for both mountain and rode bikes, my husband has done the etape and his group right to Lefkhada and back! There is a full itinerary of workout classes, stretch classes, aqua aerobics and water polo et cetera. There is also sailing, kayaking, sea rowing, paddle boarding, tennis, and evening entertainment. It is a little bubblr of normality and it’s awesome. Hope you have a great time!

The taverna onsite has main courses from 8 - 10 euros. Village a 30 minute walk for lunch - might not be ideal in the midday sun..
