I wish I had spend more time enjoying the hotel and its beautiful rooms than exploring the surroundings which is less interesting, It is really a museum cum hotel, with wall pictures showing its yester years.

We stopped here for lunch en route to Geirangerfjord. What a marvelous place! The dining room was large, very clean, and offered Norwegian specialties. We had elkburgers, huge delicious burgers with generous toppings and sides. Then we toured the historic hotel. The public areas have been gorgeously updated, yet still are ski-lodge quaint and comfortable. I would LOVE to stay...

This hotel is popular during winter - ski resort There is a small area whereby they present their old photos (history) in the hotel. Interior of the hotel is amazing and traditional design (mountain lodge, woody-woody yet classic). They even have a fire place at the lobby. Free wifi in the hotel. Interior of the room is very very basic....

The room could use a renovation , but it was nice and clean. quite ok. The hotel's public areas were very nice with old timber and charm. The food was incredibly good with a riklig selection . We will gladly return.

We are staying here for a night with our daughter and both sets of parents. Although we have passed through for lunch before this is the first night that we have stayed. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive. We are lucky enough to be staying here on a really warm day and have been walking up...

We stayed in a wonderfully remodeled suite in this gem of a hotel with a fascinating history. We didn't eat dinner, but the buffet looked fantastic. Breakfast was a huge choice of local treats, even with a personalized blend of tea for Grotli. The room was just the right temperature and beds were very comfortable. The in suite bath was...

Our tour group stopped here for lunch and they did an outstanding job serving several busloads of us. We had a delicious salmon, potatoes, pickled cucumbers, a great sauce and for dessert a white mousse of some kind that was very cold and tasted of marshmallows. They were very kind, efficient and helpful. I enjoyed our stop here very much...

This is my third visit to the hotel. This time around we only stayed one night, passing through the area. Rooms are decent size and clean, with furniture in typical 'mountain-Norwegian' style. Good water pressure in showers, no shortage of hot water in the rooms I've stayed in. Quick note that there is no TV in the room and wifi...

Stopped here for a cup of coffee: their restaurant was just opening (it was 10 in the morning). Friendly personnel and impressive sitting area. Would describe the style inside the hotel with the Stanley Hotel used in the movie the Shining. Pretty great!

Beautiful cabin and warm staffs...the best is GOOD food even on breakfast have many variety foods and good taste....love the surrounding area within mountains and snow even on summer. But you have to prepare for any emergency cases since this hotel is in the middle of ski resort and far from public services, anyway I love this hotel.
