Above the stunning Karavostasi beach with wide views across the Ionian Sea, Elix is a rare find. As luxurious as it is adventurous, it starred in Condé Nast Traveler's 2022 Hotlist. The crystal-clear waters and pristine pine forests surrounding Elix make it a natural playground. An experience that invites you to escape the digital world and explore the great outdoors. Hiking, cycling and water sports await you, all with magical views of Paxos, Antipaxos and Corfu islands. And private tours take you out to must-see sights and into the Grecian wilds. Private infinity pools come with incredible views. The tennis court welcomes beginners and pros. And the gym and spa are there for your fitness and blissfulness. Karavostasi, one of Greece's best beaches, is reached by a private funicular railway or tree-shaded path. And our restaurant delivers refreshing drinks and snacks to your spot on the sand as and when you'd like them. Suites and rooms are spacious and light-filled with décor nodding to the region’s heritage. And while your private pool or terrace is hard to leave, venturing out to eat at our restaurants will reward you with à la carte Greek and Italian dining or laid-back, fresh Mediterranean buffets and a relaxed ambience. As the sun sets and you’re surrounded by excellent company and the starry skies above, with a glass of something cold in hand, you'll feel at one with the magic of our wondrous location.

We stayed at the Elix last week as a couple (60s) but also with our son, his wife and young children who had their own family room.
We judge the hotel as a 5* hotel working hard to establish a good quality reputation. The location is impressive high up overlooking a public beach with a private section for the hotel. Access isn’t a problem and the hotel generally has good access and lift facilities.
Staff are friendly and helpful and management very visible and hard working. Food was of a good quality, freshly prepared and of a good variety. Young children coped well with what was available. Drinks and service were generally good quality with a reasonable choice on offer including cocktails. Wines were again good with a range of mainly good quality Greek wines but with some European. The AI wine list was fairly limited but good quality. If you strayed off the AI list it seems that you paid the full price for the premium selections with the AI wines priced between 21 - 23 euros a bottle. I suggest the price of the premium wines should be discounted by say 21 euros if you are AI.
We didn’t have a problem with the large number of children staying at the hotel, our room (807) was very private with a private pool and even at meal times in the main restaurant by and large we did not feel encumbered. The hotel catered well for our grandchildren with a well run kid’s club and younger crèche.
Cleaning and Covid precautions were given high priority and buffet service hygiene standards very high.
Lastly, we experienced a very severe storm one day which knocked out the power for the whole area for many hours, until 10.00pm. Showers could still be had, drinks could still be served and food still offered albeit sandwiches. Non AI guests given free drinks and all rooms given 150 euros credit on their bills.
All in all a great effort by the whole staff and a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.
Special mention to ‘Iro’ in the main buffet restaurant, so friendly and efficient.

We are leaving today , sat round the beautiful pool and so sad to go !! All the staff here are smiling happy people. The warm welcome and bubbly on arrival was lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They want you to have a great experience and strive for this. Our room was lovely, very clean - comfortable. The food has been really lovely. There’s 2 A La Cartes, and if all inclusive, a dine out option at a local seafront taverna, very simple food, in a stunning setting, so don’t miss this! The drinks are fine, extensive drink menu with branded spirits ie Bombay sapphire or tanqueray gins.
The bartenders will happily make up pretty much any cocktail even if it’s not there on the menu. The beach is lovely, pebbly and shingly though. Bring water shoes. Warning that the beach shelves steeply suddenly. Bar on the beach great for lunch, clean toilets and showers and towel pick up point on beach
The location of this hotel means that the views are breathtaking. It’s a very beautiful place.
The only thing I feel could be improved upon(it’s not a criticism) there are ALOT of families with young children, whilst I’m not a child hater, far from it! It’s hard to relax in the tranquil setting with young children crying. An adult only pool and area of the restaurant would fix this. Having said that, I really cannot fault this beautiful hotel. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the week here!
It was my birthday whilst here as well !
Thank you to ALL the staff who work hard to make sure it’s all perfect, I hope very much to return x

This is an exceptionally well run hotel in a beautiful location .Picture postcard perfect ,spotlessly clean and just luxurious. The staff are hardworking, kind and offer exceptional customer service, above and beyond what you would expect .The hotel itself is sympathetic to the natural beauty of the landscape and the grounds are very well cared for. It has an eco feel to it with naturalistic landscaping .It feels intimate , despite the large amount of rooms and there are staff everywhere you look, happy to help .The food is fabulous, and fears you may have regarding mass catering / all inclusive buffet style food will be unfounded here .The quality of the food is high end ,freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Covid safe measures are particularly evident here _ you need to wear a mask and gloves and staff are at hand all the time wiping down tables in the restaurant and food service areas. The rooms are spacious and welcoming with quite possibly the best shower we have ever experienced ,all with fabulous views over the Ionian Sea and nearby islands. The cleaning and maintenance teams are ever present and incredibly efficient. The infinity pool and entire pool area is attractive, the spa is fab- you get a 50 euro voucher per room to put towards a treatment .The Ruby Bar has a stunning cocktail menu and low key live music in the evenings .The beach area has a little bar and staff who take your food and drink orders from the sun loungers and the sunbeds and beach are very clean, we love spending time there . All in all ,I find it difficult to find fault with any aspect of it . The only thing that worries me now is that I am too scared to book anywhere else because they have set the benchmark so high .😄

We stayed for 5 nights during August 2021. Hotel is located in a cliff. This guarantees amazing views (glorious sunsets and ample sea blue) while you can access the beach either via funicular or through a path of steps.
My impressions are below:
1. Facilities are great as the hotel is new and there seems to be a fair amount of money invested on that area. Rooms are also equipped excellently.
2. Our room had an amazing view (pics) and beds were confy. Walk in wardrobe was also nice to avoid a clutter of clothes in the sleeping area.
3. Food. We had an all inclusive package so almost everything was included in terms of food and drinks. The breakfast (buffet) was good and the same applies to lunch and dinner buffet options. Probably the dinner was the best of the 3. Drinks were also good and the live music was nice.
We also had the option to try 3 times the other dinner options (fine dining and the pool restaurant). The fine dinning was super nice and was using local food sources and traditional recipes with obviously a more sophisticated culinary approach. Pool restaurant was also good however we felt the menu of the fine dining to be more interesting.
4. Service. Overall people working in the hotel are super helpful and extremely polite. No complaints and it was as expected on that aspect. I feel that the beach bar would do with an extra person helping as sometimes stuff was underwhelmed.
5. Development points. As a next step i would like the management to introduce a couple of things to make the experience even better. Firstly mini bus to transfer people to Parga/Syvota. Secondly, the sea boat to visit Paxos island felt quite expensive given that 3rd parties offer the same for a fraction of that price. This was something that should be corrected moving forwards. Lastly, i don't like people leaving placeholder towels in the sunbeds of the pool as it's kinda annoying and not fair for the rest. It's not a competition. Hotel should not allow this.

Advice to visitors, visit the beach, it's amazing and miles better than any pool.

So, we came back yesterday from our vacation at Marbella Elix! We stayed for a week, ultra all inclusive. The overall experience was amazing. Beautifully designed hotel, nice rooms, great pool area, amazing views, good food at the restaurants, good cocktails, great staff, etc. Especially the food at Indigo was amazing. A few feedback points: staff is very friendly and working very hard, however sometimes under staffed so the service was not always on point. I'm sure this will improve over time since this is their first season. The buffet for breakfast and dinner was very noisy and chaotic and the food there was ok, I expected a bit more. And then: the amount of kids. I've been at many similar hotels but never been in a hotel with this many kids. The whole hotel and especially the pool area is flooded by kids, a lot of them screaming/crying etc. Whirlpool became a kids pool, buffet restaurant experience is like a Mac Donalds with that much families and yelling kids. I don’t have statistics of course but sometimes it felt like 75% of the visitors was families with young kids. We really had to strategically pick our sun beds at the pool to have some peace and quiet because I came here to relax. Maybe other months have less kids? Also keep in mind that the location is very remote, you either need a (rental) car to explore the area or just be oke with staying at the hotel. Taxi trips are expensive (100€ return trip to Parga).

If you think of booking this hotel, we had an amazing stay and would 100% recommend it. But keep in mind the amount of kids and the buffet. I would absolutely come back if those points are improved.

Hotel has amazing potential. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff are fantastic and the manager is outstanding.

I had a basic Sea view room and it was very large and comfortable with amazing views. I was on half board and the breakfast and dinner were both buffet and excellent.

But unfortunately the restaurant used for the all-inclusive and half board is just too small and the tables are so close together. To get in and out of your chair you have to wait for somebody else to breathe in. The children are running around at 10 o’clock at night and at breakfast it was just crying babies and hungry children. I have my own children but I’ve never experienced anything like this. We also had to wait in a queue a number of time is it there was not room in the restaurant. A hotel of a standard should not be like this.

We did not go during school holidays. The hotel is described as family friendly but it is not really set up for children and there’s not much for them to do apart from the pool. We were just not expecting it to be quite so loud . There is just one large pool and not much room around it so it is very noisy. They also play loud music around the pool which in some ways drowns out the noise of the children but what could be a very peaceful and relaxing hotel is not.

Also, because one of the fine dining restaurants by the pool you have to get out the pool by 6 pm which is ridiculous when the days are so long and it’s still very hot. Also the coffee and drinks around the pool seem to be set up for the all-inclusive people so not very good and they’re not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. They are also very expensive. One glass of sparkling water is about €4.

Having said all this, the Hotel it’s really lovely and the staff and manager make it very special. All I can say is if this was an adults only hotel it would just be incredible. If you are going for peace and quiet and relaxation this is not the hotel for you. We are not the only people saying this, we met many people who said exactly the same. PLEASE Make it for over 16s only.

Just stayed here for a week in October 2023.

Booked a one bedroom family suite with a private pool and it did not disappoint! (We stayed in room 331)

The views were absolutely stunning and it was so convenient for our family, we had travelled with a 3 year old so this allowed us to carry on swimming whilst she napped. Although I must say the pool was rather chilly! The pool area was very slippery once wet and our toddler fell several times throughout the week. Whilst this is to be expected at a poolside, just tread with caution.

The room itself was spacious with plenty of hanging and folding space for clothes and a safety box. I would note our safety box was not working and could be carried out the wardrobe even if it did lock, so this possibly needs to be looked at from a security perspective. In addition there was no bath only a shower, although I must admit the water pressure was amazing. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable, both my husband and I had difficulty with it.

On arrival we had fruit and wine left in our room along with a Marbella Elix branded beach bag, cuddly toy and crayons for our toddler which we felt was a nice touch.

We chose the half board option as this was more than enough for us. On multiple occasions we ordered room service for lunch but we aren’t big drinkers so going all inclusive wouldn’t have been worth it for us.

The food was some of the best buffet food I have had at a hotel. The quality and service were truly amazing. The staff are continually walking around and refreshing each of the serving bowls to ensure nothing was left in a mess for the next person. I had a fresh omelette every morning and it was delicious.

The shop on site is small but has provisions you would need such as nappies, deodorants, sun cream, snacks, games etc. Unfortunately due to the remote nature of the hotel, if you haven’t hired a car or take a taxi to the local towns you are limited to the shop on site for any essentials and subject to those prices. A can of Coca Cola/Fanta will cost you €4.4 and a cocktail at the bar is €12.

We took the funicular lift down to the beach which was great. Once at the bottom of the lift there are a set of approx 20 steps to walk as well. The beach is made up of course sand so I would advise water shoes to make it more enjoyable. We didn’t use any of the water sports available on the beach but from our hotel room you could see people out on the water having fun.

The hotel was honestly amazing and I would highly recommend coming here. I would also add the transfer is 90 minutes from the airport on very tight winding roads. But the views were breathtaking and the journey is well worth it.

Whilst there is a small children’s club there are no evening activities such as games or a mini disco. The play park on site is handy to have but very small. Evening entertainment on the whole is none existent but this really is a location where you are there to switch off, relax and unwind.

I would definitely return, but possibly as a couple next time not a family.

My daughter and I stayed for a week last week of June and had a fabulous relaxing week. The hotel is fabulous and the views from all the rooms overlook the Ionian Sea which is fantastic especially when you wake up in the morning, draw back the curtains and see the spectacular view of the sea. The hotel is is a very quiet spot which worked well for us as we weren’t looking for a hectic resort. The downside as numerous others have mentioned is the amount of children, although it wasn’t a big problem the noise was noticeable in and around the pool as it was very difficult to just enjoy a swim and also breakfast time. We were certainly glad that we upgraded to a swim up pool room which was a godsend in the afternoons for abit of tranquility. If there are 2 of you it is definitely worth the extra money for the peace and quiet and being able to dip in and out of the water to cool off.
We didn’t mind the small stoned beach, in fact the little stones were preferable to grains of sand as at least you didn’t end up bringing sand up to the hotel and your room. There are plenty of sun loungers by the pool and beach although still disappointing that some guests insist on reserving blocks of beds then don’t use them although fortunately the hotel wasn’t at full capacity so wasn’t a massive problem. We found the quality of food particularly in the Saffron Restaurant really good. The variety was as you would expect from a 5 Star hotel. The choice of salads were great and I thoroughly enjoyed having greek salad for breakfast. We were half board as we can’t manage or need 3 meals a day and have to say we didn’t notice any guests over indulging who were all inclusive which was lovely. The staff throughout the hotel are extremely professional, always have a smile on their faces and genuinely seem to enjoy working at the hotel (but why wouldn’t you with such beautiful views and surroundings). The evening entertainment was very limited but didn’t bother us as we were content to go back to our room with a bottle of wine, dip our feet in our pool and enjoy looking out to sea. Would I go again, definitely but next maybe have our own pool, especially if my husband is paying!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views but does need a few things tweaking.
No toilets on main bar level.
Only one male and female toilet on pool level, imagine what that will be like in summer especially with a restaurant and bar on that level as well.
Drink service was atrocious, very slow. 2 cocktails only most nights as one person taking orders, same at breakfast, finished before coffee arrived, also put a cappuccino in a proper cup not tiny teacup.
Buffet food does not have a great selection and wasn't half as good quality as we are used to.
Mini bar is the only place we have been that isnt free and a trek to take a drink back to your room.
Also swim ups are not heated and no indoor pool even though there is a spa.
Staff can not do enough for u and management need to look at getting more staff or giving them a pay rise cause they do not stop
Taxi is 50 euros to Parga there and back, why not put transport on.

Of the all inclusive resorts weve visited over the past few years Marbella Elix is the most disappointing. The wonderful views are the only truly remarkable thing, everything else is average at best or just lacks thought unfortunately.

If you do opt for this resort I would recommend a room with a pool otherwise you are subject to an overcrowded and undersized pool, where the hotel are unwilling to enforce the no sunbed reservation policy and allow guests to lay their towels down and maybe not even turn up. They’re happy to enforce the no large inflatable policy in the pool though (which is a good thing due to pool size). Sunbed issue was raised to the Hotel manager who accepted it was an issue of which he had received numerous complaints but had no suitable solution.

Food is ok, there is some variation in the buffet of an evening but no variation day in day out at breakfast, you can book breakfast at Indigo restaurant by the pool which provides some different choices but availability is limited and you must make a reservation.

Carefully consider the dine out option, the restaurant is in a lovely location but food choice is small and does not cater for children very well at all, not even ice cream unless you pay extra! You’ll be better off staying on resort.

Many staff are somewhat subdued and just don’t seem particularly happy, you can be particularly ignored at the bar by the pool if you like.

There is definitely an emphasis on limiting your experience, for example if a table of guests leave the Ruby bar (the main bar for the evening) the table will be cleared and the table lamp removed as if to effectively close it off as early as 9.30pm!

Despite there being a kids club the hotel does not cater for children well, no room inside for them to escape the sun and watch a movie or play a game for example. The play area consists of a swing, a very small slide/climbing house combo and 2 rocker things, not covered in the day or illuminated at night, totally pointless.

The fine dining restaurant serves very nice food and is something to be enjoyed.

Very disappointing overall, there are far far better resorts, any of the Ixos resorts and would also recommend Eagles Villas/palace.

If you do like the look of Marbella Elix, I’d recommend a week max.

I believe so yes. We didn’t because it’s an extra charge. Would HIGHLY recommend booking breakfast at the indigo poolside restaurant… it was another level of pure bliss!
