If you are looking for total peace and quiet with beautiful views over Loch Maree then this is the place for you. It's setting is the main draw with easy access to hill walking, loch activities. The owners Raymond and Caroline have made huge changes to the decor with very modern touches. Found the dinning room a bit on the...

Owner sitting in Bar doing paperwork. Didn't even get up when we entered. Asked if we might have lunch - briefest of response "No" I've stayed here over the years and always been delighted with service - very disappointed. Won't go back now. Went on to Badachro Inn where service and food and setting were splendid!

I spent 4 nights here with friends as a hill walking base. Raymond and Caroline were friendly and welcoming hosts, the rooms and dinners were good value and we were generally well looked after. We would return.

Stopped over for one night enroute of the NC500. Lovely restful decor throughout. Very comfortable room overlooking the loch. Wholesome, tasty food, slight mix up over order but who cares when the friendliness and comfort of this small family run hotel in stunning location overrides any minor problem. Great to see the deer in close proximity

If you want lovely views in a fairly remote area, then this hotel offers good value. Some attention needed to the quality of the food and general tidiness of the building/site, but a good bet for a short stay when heading further North. Surrounding countryside is well worth exploring.

My wife and I stayed for a single night at the end of August 15 on a motoring holiday of the Scottish Highlands. The hotel is well located for great views of Loch Maree and has a fully stocked bar and large restaurant. The room was clean and tidy.

A beautiful spot in the Scottish Highland, Loch Maree is quiet and understated. The hotel is beautifully kept and the staff are attentive. Good food and drink. Don't miss the semi tame deer that come in of an evening.

Raymond was very kind to us, unfortunately I chose completely the wrong room for my mother - there's a disabled accessible room on the ground floor. I booked through booking.com and would have been better contacting them directly. I asked the hotel to change the room and despite this being a big problem they found her a lovely double room...
