At "Casa cu Zorele" we had one of those moments we'll always remember with pleasure. The owners were very kind and interested in having nice and interesting conversations with all guests in their own languages (we discovered that the owner is able to speak English, German and French, of course the Romanian is native:)), as at the time we were... It is very easy to define. Lovely accommodation, lovely hosts, lovely food (fantastic homemade traditional food), very comfortable sleep. The main house it is fantastic, but the new ones refurbish make you feel like been back 100 years ago (but with the facilities of 21st century. They have refurbish a house respecting how it was, but adding a bathroom, of... More

We spent 2 nights at this lovely pension and wish to have time to stay more!! The owners took very much care of keeping the traditional Saxon style and the original style and materials where possible, but adding necessary amnesties for a comfortable stay. All rooms have new en-suite bathrooms with all comfort. Our room had the original wood floor... More

The setting is superb, the food was absolutely delicious and locally sourced, traditional but with almost always with a twist that gives it an unique character. The owners are very nice and helpful. You get a room in a traditional Saxon house with traditional (but new) furniture and 20 century utilities. Do not expect a TV - people come here... More

We strayed 2 nights here and experienced the most remarkable stay of our 12 day trip to Romania. The rooms were appointed with typical local furniture and were large and spacious. The hosts went out of their way to give us a memorable experience of living on a historic farm, but with modern amenities in the 4 guest rooms. Breakfast... More

A perfect retreat to escape to another century. The rooms and furnishings were delightfully traditional, breakfast and dinner were superb, with spectacular local wine (the pinot Noir was especially memorable). The hosts are very friendly, and speak very good English. They were particularly helpful in returning a key I had mistakenly retained from a pension the previous night. Decent value... More

Casa cu Zorele is wonderful. We had our own little storybook house (Crit 50) from whose windows we could watch the daily rush hour traffic of cattle and goats. Mihaela and Tibi are the best hosts, the meals and wines excellent and the rooms attractive and cosy. My husband and I stayed here for four nights midway through our trip... More

I stayed at this superb B&B several occasions, with family and with friends. Friendly owners have done extraordinary jobs keeping the place authentic and beautiful. They cook so well. They are very helpful in giving local tours that are so down to earth. It is becoming more and more difficult to book a room, so plan ahead!

Our party of 7 spanning 3 generations and a few nationalities was very pleased. I have had the pleasure of staying 2 nights in Casa zu Zorele. The owners are very nice and serviceminded. The rooms are very tidy and nice. The homemade food was just amazing. This is a place that I will come back to on new visits to this beautiful area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart of Medieval Transylvania, few miles to Viscri, Saschiz, Sighisoara, we restored an old Saxon house. In order to keep the intimacy of the house we have only four rooms for guests (each one has a bathroom). The meals, cooked mainly with organic vegetables from our garden, wild fruits, and local farm products are accompanied with great Transylvanian wines. Activities: local tours, visit Saxon heritage by carriage, hiking, bicycle or by car, watch animals or birds, become friend with the bees and much more. ... more   less
