Excellent facilities and Paula gives a good welcome both in the Wee House where we stayed for a week and then also in the main house - we stayed on for an extra night. The main house has a guest lounge - a comfortable place to linger. Great breakfast too! Coll itself has plenty to do for a week's holiday.
We stayed here for 2 nights (2 adults and 3 kids), in the Family suite over the Jubilee weekend. Accommodation was ideal and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was amazing! When we stayed, there had been a few challenges on the island with COVID impacts - so everyone was working flat out to accommodate guests, they did a superb job.
Thank you Paula, Angus and Sarah for your warm welcome, delicious food (the best breakfasts ever!) and looking after us so well - including collecting us from the ferry. The accommodation is spotless and comfortable and the garden delightful. The location and views across the harbour are stunning and we enjoyed simply sitting on the verandah and relaxing, after cycling to the RSPB reserve and magnificent beaches.
This is my second time staying in The Wee House and I love it. It's very comfortable and the welcome basket was indeed very welcome. We made use of the bikes too but didn't trust ourselves the the kayaks. The beaches are amazing and we managed to tick off quite a few. We will be back next year for sure.
We stayed for 5 nights and the only downside was having to leave. Paula and her team are extremely hospitable and our stay could not have been better. The location is incredible and we were fortunate to have amazing weather. The beaches on Coll are absolutely stunning and there is plenty of wildlife to see. Paula’s breakfasts were incredible and the view across towards Mull can be seen from the huge windows and the decking area. Hopefully we’ll return to Coll one day and we’ll definitely stay here again.
A hop and a skip off the ferry this is the perfect place to relax within walking distance to Coll’s main amenities. Paula provided a warm welcome, top notch room and delicious food. Friendly helpful staff, including the hilarious Jim! Walks in stunning settings amongst birdsong and wild flowers to white sandy beaches with clear turquoise seas. Just perfect!
This was our second stay at Tigh Na Mara in the very comfortable and cosy 'Wee House'. Nothing was too much trouble for Paula and Angus and we were given a very warm welcome. The fantastic welcome hamper that awaited us was very much appreciated and included tasty goodies such as Paula's yummy home made bread. Although we were mainly self-catering, we opted to have breakfast in the guesthouse one morning for a treat and it was fabulous. The Isle of Coll is a lovely and peaceful place and we felt ourselves relaxing as soon as we stepped off the ferry. It is a place of ever changing light(and weather!), beautiful beaches, big skies and friendly locals. There is plenty of bird and animal life to look for - we were excited to see a seal colony, hares, many different birds. We shall be back!…
From my initial enquiry through to meeting Paula on arrival at tigh na mara, it was immediately apparent that the level of service was going to be at or beyond what we all hope to receive. As a seasoned traveller, i was confident of a smooth and enjoyable stay and anywhere thst you wish to have stayed a little longer has to be special. Sadly the sun didn't allow me to relax in the garden after a day's walking. Thankyou to paula and staff including the gardener for making me so welcome.
Stayed here about a year and a half ago. The room was clean and spacious. Everything was perfect. Really enjoyed the breakfast. Just stayed one night and waiting on a late boat the owner offered to keep our luggage and come back if we need to use the facilities. Which was so generous of them. As we were cycling this was a huge thing for us. Nothing was too much trouble. Great location.
We arrived late to a welcome (pre-ordered) 3 course meal. Paula, our host, was very friendly and helpful. The B&B has lovely views, comfortable bedroom and great breakfasts. We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Tigh na Mara.
