We have just come back from a wonderful long weekend at St John’s Lodge. We went for my sisters 30th birthday with family and had an amazing time.
The lodge is stunning and beautifully decorated. The whole lodge and area was so clean, you felt like the first people there!
With only 3 lodges on the same side, you have beautiful views of the lake and countryside. Each lodge has a fence either side which gives complete privacy from the other lodges.
The hot tub was amazing and so relaxing to just sit back and watch the geese on the lake.
The lodge had everything we needed, including tea, coffee, cooking supplies, toileting rolls, towels and dressing gowns! We even had a bottle of Prosecco and biscuits welcoming us which was a lovely touch!
I will definitely be booking again soon!

We had a fabulous time at Cambridgeshire Lakes. We could not fault the place. The hosts are helpful, friendly and so accommodating. The lodges are beautifully presented, well equipped and lovely and clean. The beds were so comfy! We all enjoyed good nights sleep. The little touches make the big difference. We were relaxed from the moment we got to the lodge. The lake adds to the charm of this place. We loved watching the geese and ducks on the lake and seeing the partridges, pheasants and bunnies in the woodland. The view and the birdsong was phenomenal to wake up to. We enjoyed glorious sunny weather and the deck was the perfect place to sunbathe and chill out surrounded by nature. I can imagine though that this place would be equally as lovely as a place to be cosy and snug in winter.
We enjoyed the hot tub, especially whilst watching the sun go down and on our last night when it was crystal clear and we saw shooting stars and the April lyrid meteors. Whilst we were there only one other lodge was occupied and it really felt very private.

We visited the Waresley Garden Centre which was lovely, excellent cafe, good place to meet before check in if meeting up with family/friends from different places. We went to the RSPB Lodge which is great for walkers and bird watchers- we saw treecreepers and woodpeckers.
We highly recommend a visit to the national trust Wimpole estate- especially on a sunny day, there is lots to see and the gardens are gorgeous. It’s a lovely way to spend the day, you just have to check all the house is open as it is a bit pricey and you may be disappointed that you didn’t get to see it all.

We only ate out one night as the kitchen is so well equipped and easy to use that we enjoyed getting our own food in and enjoying the dining area. We highly recommend The Kings Reach pub- delicious food, great service.

We thank you for the good times we’ve had and the memories we’ve made at this relaxing retreat!
We cannot wait to visit Cambridgeshire Lakes again

Travelled the length of the UK to spend a few days here in the lodge. We arrived without any problems thanks to the detailed and accurate guidance from Jemma. The first sight of the lodge took our breath away. The location lakeside is stunning. The lodge is large, very clean and fitted out to a very high standard. The kitchen had everything we needed (including a bottle of Prosecco!) The bathrooms were very clean, spacious and high spec. My husband who suffers with a painful back was able to sleep in one of the huge beds with no problems. The weather was delightful and the air conditioning in the bedroom much appreciated at night. We were able to enjoy the huge decked area each day which had amazing views of the lake. My daughter enjoyed the hot tub particularly and we enjoyed eating meals outside and lounging in the evening sun.

Can’t fault it. Jemma and Charlie have thought of everything.

Just what we needed to recharge after 6 months of relentless hard work!

Superb place to stay. Each lodge has its own jacuzzi & both bedrooms in each lodge are en-suite, comfy beds and the 3 different pillows size is a very nice touch. Dressing gowns are provided & all essentials had been thought about & were there for you to use. Thoroughly recommend and can’t wait to got back. Ideal location over looking the lake. Made use of the opportunity to do some lovely walks from the lake. Had the bast time catching up with friends, & still being COVID mindful. Couldn’t have wished for anymore. Thanks.

What an amazing place to stay. If you’re looking for calm and relaxation then definitely book here! We came as a family of 4 and the place had so much room. The lake is so pretty and the area is so quiet that it was exactly what we were looking for. The lodge is furnished beautifully and to such a high standard, it has everything you need. 3 nights here went so quickly. There’s easy parking right next to the lodge, a lovely hot tub, decking area, BBQ, outside dining table and loungers. Inside there is a large living/ dining/ kitchen area with TV, 2 large bedrooms each with TV and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. They provide a small body wash, shampoo/conditioner and body lotion so I’d recommend bringing your own. The lodge provide tea, coffee and sugar but you need your own milk so worth baring in mind. A big Tesco supermarket was less than 10 mins away but a smaller Tesco or co-op can be found 5 mins away. We travelled all around the local area to visit different restaurants, pubs and attractions. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful place to stay. The setting is fantastic - you can spend hours just sat watching the wildlife and taking in the surroundings.

The site has four lodges, but has been set up in such a way that each one has total privacy. The lodge has everything you need to make it a home from home for your stay. Our daughters loved the fact that both bedrooms have their own en suite so no sharing bathrooms.

The decked area is huge, and we made good use of the fantastic gas barbecue provided.

All in all, just a fantastic place to stay and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.

We've stayed in many lodges in different parts of the country over the years, none as good as this. Highly recommend!

Book 3 nights for a relaxing break and it was just that. What a stunning place. Peaceful, off the beaten track so no noise from anything apart from the geese in the lake! The lodges (we stayed in St. Johns which gets the sun pretty much all day) are one of the best we have stayed in. Everything is high quality and no expense has been spared. The decking area is hugh and even though there are 3 other lodges you have privacy thanks to some well placed fencing between them. One other lodge was occupied during our stay and whilst you knew someone was in the lodge there was very little noise. We arrived on the Friday when the temp was 31 degrees outside but no problem as the bedrooms have air con, this was a great relief as the lodge was warm inside! The hot tub was great, would have been nice to be able to change the temp as it felt a little cooler than 37 degrees but not really a big issue. (First world problems eh!). Still, we enjoyed being in it for most of the stay! Another very useful addition was having an EV charger with the lodge. Obviously not for everyone but for us one less thing having to stress about charging on the way home. All in all a fantastic place and if you are looking to get away for a relaxing, peaceful break in a luxury lodge you won't go far wrong with this place.

Just returned from a four night break staying in Trinity lodge and wow what a fabulous place. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil setting, in the middle of the most beautiful countryside within reach of Cambridge then this is a must. The cabin is absolutely first class, with hot tub, decking overlooking the lake and everything you need to make this stay unforgettable.

My husband and I loved this place. It had everything you could want for a perfect relaxing weekend. The kitchen had all you could want the rooms were spotless and everything so comfortable. We loved the hottub and sitting with a cup of tea on the open but secluded balcony. We visited Cambridge and Grantchester which were both gorgeous. A really lovely place!!
