Have had many good meals at rhe Queens but last Sunday very poor. Lukewarm soup served in a cold dish. Was a tasteless gloop rather than a soup. Roast beef excellent but served on a heap of possibly kale. One piece of Parsnip and Carrot, two poorly roasted Potatoes. Egg nog Creme Brulee! Was taken off bill with soup. Polite and helpful young staff but there seemed to be no management .

We enquired about holding a private event, the staff were so helpful. The bedrooms look amazing and great private rooms to hold events. Great selection of drinks and the location is beautiful, didn’t try the food as they had stopped serving but hope to go back very soon.

Our group stayed and dined as part of our walk along the Lambourn Valley Way. Rooms are excellent and comfortable - and of course quiet out here on the Downs. Dinner was a splendid experience too, with professional and friendly service. A small issue was dealt with speedily and generously. Thoroughly recommended - don't go anywhere else

We hired the Queens Lodge for our afternoon/evening wedding celebrations - alongside x8 bedrooms. What a good decision that was! Nothing was too much trouble for an incredibly attentive team - who over a 9 hour shift served up delicious sharing platters, a two course lunch, an evening meal, plus cheese platters, teas and coffees etc. Just fantastic. The outside garden area alongside the spacious room was perfect for all the family, with the evening ending in Karaoke and dancing thanks to a great system. If you're after a first-class private event space, with great onsite accommodation - this is the place for you. Thanks to Freddie and the team.

Lovely room. Beautiful crisp white sheets. Huge bathroom. Sky TV. Great stock and choice of tea coffee etc. Breakfast was faultless. Crispy bacon and perfect placed eggs. We really enjoyed our stay and it was excellent value.

I was here for a friends birthday and we were served by Billy, Zara and Kelly. Their service was impeccable, couldn’t fault it! All the drinks were perfect especially the espresso martini made by Billy. The food was delicious, all perfectly done. I am definitely coming again and would 100% recommend it to anyone else. They can accommodate for everyone.

On arrival we received a warm welcome, were served drinks at the bar and showed to our table to peruse a most interesting menu and wine list. The food and drink service was excellent to the extreme, but what impressed us most was the staff. During our visit we probably encountered six or seven different young people, each smart and polite, and with a genuine desire to please. A real example of when you have everyone pulling in the same direction, greatness can be achieved. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our first ever visit and will most certainly be returning.

Our team work very hard for our 5 star status - I hope you will give them another chance to turn this 1 star review into a 5. Please do visit again soon. Yours, Freddie (owner).

Our third (if not fourth?) stay at the QA - As ever the staff were so welcoming and we had the best room yet - can't remember the name (all the rooms have names not numbers) but this one's well worth asking for if available - it's got a bathroom that has a jacuzzi-bath the size of a swimming pool and a separate shower room too. Don't eat for a week before you visit - the food is out of this world, and hard to imagine at even twice the price.

The food is utterly fantastic! So many pubs do half arsed food but the queens arms is the real deal. I drive 30 mins past tonnes of others to come here because they take such pride in what they do. Impeccable food whether burgers or roasts - utterly divine deserts. Never change, queens arms! Staff and service excellent, too.
