I think the pictures speak for themselves ... I had the best stay at O Bona Moremi in Khwai. It really does stand for excellent service, a beautiful location, great facilities and an unforgettable experience.
The tents are thoughtfully furnished with a big and very comfortable wooden bed, as well as a beautifully designed bathroom with an amazing outdoor shower. The food was astonishing, for breakfast there was a big selection of warm and cold dishes and especially nice coffee. For lunch there were various snacks and dinner was a well-selected three course meal of soup, main and dessert. Throughout the day high-tea was also served.
The staff was extremely attentive and very welcoming. Helping you with whatever you need. The activities and especially on the game drives we saw more than we could ask for including lions, cheetahs, leopards and hundreds of elephants. The conservancy of Khwai also has beautiful and varied landscapes from grassland, moor to woods. The Mokoro tour (boat tour) was amazing, we even saw elephants in the water. Moreover the gate from Moremi is also only five minutes away, so you can choose between where you want to go.
I will never forget the faces, animals and landscapes of O Bona and I am sure I will return.
I can highly recommend O Bona Moremi for anyone that is looking for a beautiful safari lodge in the area of Moremi/Khwai, it won't get any better!

Our first camp in Botswana. Room is ok, a bit small. Food was specifically good, the best in Botswana. Cook is very caring, we stay 6 nights and every meal was different and excellent. The guide Lenny was anxious to find the animals and never gave up. We saw a lot due to him, can't tell all. It is a pity they don't have WiFi and I think the choice of the vehicle was wrong : in this season full of water we couldn't go through. The team is wonderful and many thanks to all of them. Maintenance could be better.

This a friendly non corporate camp where we were made very welcome from the song of welcome by the staff to the final cup of tea in the truck by the air strip while waiting for the flight out. After flying in from Kasane we stayed for 2 nights and went on 3 game drives with Joe and a mokoro ride. Joe is very knowledgeable and patient. He knows where to stop and wait and predict what the game was going to do next. Bouncing down a rough track after wild dogs was great fun. We very much liked the fact that we ate meals with the staff and even in 2 days felt we had formed a bond. Of course the game viewing was memorable. We have travelled extensively in Africa and been to Botswana on a self drive basis. This time we realised we saw far more with an experienced guide.

We stayed in O’Bona Moremi for 2 nights and it definitely was the highlight of our trip in Botswana. All the staff is so helpful, kind and generous. The food is very tasty and we had more than we could eat. The accommodation is very lovely . Our tent had everything we needed and more and the bed was very comfortable.

Plus, our guide, Mox was awesome ! He was very knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time on safari.

Anyone thinking of going in Khwai should stay at O’Bona Moremi. I know I will definitely come back :)

We stayed at O Bona Moremi for 3 nights during a round trip through Botsuana. It was definitely our favourite spot: the tents are spacious, clean and comfortably furnished, the food was very fresh and tasty and the sounds at night from the Reserves just amazing. I definitely want to come back!

The best way to travel to this tented lodge in the bush is to fly in. Our flight over the delta from Seronga gave us a view of the Okavango delta and its wildlife from the air. The new tents are spacious and well equipped. The food and service was excellent and the farewell songs will linger for a long time. The lodge itself is open to the wild animals and at night you can hear the elephants and hippos grazing adjacent to your tent. You can also hear the lions roar at night.

The road to the camp from Maun is challenging, but the camp itself is neatly kept and maintained and the facilities are class. The close by Moremi Game Reserve lends for numerous animal sounds at nights, including lion roars, and animal, hippos and elephants traverse the camp at night.

This was our first trip to Botswana and O Bona Moremi, but I sure hope not the last. We did not really know what to expect but we were delighted from the minute our guide picked us up at the airstrip, the moment we saw the cozy camp on the edge of the meadow and the forest, the moment we were shown to our comfortable tent. The staff made us welcome and took great care of us over our three-day visit. I cannot explain how relaxing it is to have your whole day laid out before you, with few responsibilities, no phone calls, no internet, nothing required but to join your guide in the dining area and go on an adventure. Particularly special to us was that our assigned guide, Yellowbone, is a trained birder, and so while we sought and enjoyed big animal sightings, we also spent a lot of time looking in trees and bushes for birds. Ultimately, we identified 98 bird species while in Bostswana, most of them with Yellowbone. The food was delicious and prepared with evident care, water was always available, and the simple act of asking us what we wanted for a sundowner and providing it was much appreciated. On our third night, we sat by the fire after dinner and the whole staff performed some beautiful songs for us. If it sounds idyllic, it's because it was. It's rural Africa, so yes, the roads are rough, there might be some bugs and some dust, but does that matter when you're in the presence of people who love the land and the animals, and the animals themselves? The darkest nights and hardest rains you've ever experienced? The sounds of hippos and cicadas and baboons? It does not....at least it should not. Thank you to everyone at O Bona for an outstanding and memorable visit.
