We stayed in caravan w17 which was amazing it was very spacious and had everything you could need a lovely raised decking area you can sit on . Unfortunately I did not do my research and when you book through hoseasons it looks like the site has everything when in fact all the fun stuff is half a mile up the road . The site itself is lovely very well kept and extremely clean .

Brilliant holiday booked again to return in 2024. Lovely lodge, nice and quiet Only issues was the hot tub out of action for a day due to water issues, the pool manager was brilliant at getting it sorted However the tubs were not emptied when we left ready for the next people as we had been advised they were

The photos on the website do not do this place justice - it was an absolutely stunning bungalow (and huge!!) right by the beach, lush views and the hot tub made it even better!! It’s not far from the theme park / arcades etc all in walking distance which was perfect for the kids! John and carol were really helpful and friendly and we will definitely be back again! Couldn’t recommend it enough :-)

We stayed in the Mendip lodge, which I have to say was lovely. The hot tub was amazing and maintained twice a day by wonderful very polite, kind staff members. We had the gardening staff cutting lawns etc whilst we were there who were also very polite, kept the grounds very neat & tidy. We wanted a much quieter, relaxed holiday so didn’t go to unity during our stay but judging by the staff who came up to Golden Sands from there again they were really nice & friendly. A big thank you to John & Carole who manage Golden Sands they were lovely & very helpful. They certainly helped us out a lot. The beach is a lovely walk in both directions, we even went down & caught the sunset on a couple of evenings which was beautiful. The private access to the beach was a good short cut, although steep we managed. The shops, arcade are close just a short walk. The kitchen had anything you could possibly want which we used a lot. The oven is brilliant makes me want to change to gas 🤣 The robes for the hot tub were fantastic as some nights had got chilly when got out. I was doing my washing whilst there and could of done with a larger airer or a washing line on the grass but that would be my only recommendation. Thank you for making my holiday a nice easy one with lots of relaxing and walking. Wonderful place with wonderful helpful staff!! Many thanks Donna & Chris Harris xx

Just returned from a 4 night break at Golden Sands. We stayed in the Beach Bungalow as my son is autistic and thought we could do with the extra space. Upon arrival we were met by the wardens who give us a quick walk around. Then said if you need anything give me a shout but left no contact details and was impossible to find during our stay. We noticed the WI-FI wasn’t working and this is my sons lifeline when we are away. After speaking to to various members of rude staff and being told there was nothing they could do this was disappointing. Gave us a phone number to phone which wasn’t even the supply of internet to our park! Wi fi in the entertainment venues didn’t work either. Bungalow was abit dated but had a nice view of the sea. We couldn’t find remote for tv in the master bedroom and the tv in the other bedroom didn’t work. Hot tub was more of a warm tub which just smelt of harsh chemicals so only used once. Washing machine leaked over the floor so didn’t use again. Beware the walk to unity is a good 25 minutes and the path was full of dog poo and lots of adults drinking and swearing. All in all we found it poor and if it wasn’t for the beach we would have gone home early. We definitely wouldn’t return.

Thank-you for your review. We do provide our contact details for any questions or any issues in the welcome pack in your accommodation and on our Holiday Resort Unity app. Unfortunately the wifi issue Mon-Thurs last week on Golden Sands was the BT Openreach external line and not an internal problem so was unfortunately our of our hands. Thank-you for your feedback as this does give us the opportunity to improve the service we offer going forward however I understand that there is an element of disappointment on this occasion.

Lovely location, quiet, good facilities, lovely lodge, good garden space. Near to a few bars/restaurants that are child friendly. Weston super mere 20 mins drive worth a trip! Nice welcome touches : 2 x Cider / dishwasher tabs / dressing gowns for the hot tub. Hot tub was a nice addition and the on site ‘Rep’ was helpful and explained what to do etc. Beach path next to the lodge wasn’t too busy with ‘on-lookers’ however hot tub could do with being made private as it has glass screens and having children and us not wanting people overlooking us, we had to cover with towels and pegs. Lodge was clean and spacious for us (family of 4) and we could fit our travel cot next to the double bed which was great as most caravans:lodges you can’t. Some areas need a revamp but overall we have loved it here and would recommend (and have done to family) to all. Thanks

Lovely, clean, quiet site, just down the road from the enormous Unity Resort. Lodge was spotless, only minor fault was the iron was missing and hairdryer broken but usable. The hot tub was a big hit with my Granddaughters (aged 3 and 4) and it was inspected regularly. Direct access to what must be one of the best family beaches in the UK. We used the pool and soft play at Unity but none of the other facilities ( did have a couple of meals at Brean Country Club ). I'm not a fan of huge ( usually noisy ) holiday parks but needed things close by for the little ones. All in all, a fab break over the Jubilee weekend (apart from the weather on Sunday!)

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at this Holiday Park. We were really pleased that we'd opted for this smaller park, than the much larger park, Holiday Resort Unity, which is part of the same company. We couldn't get away quick enough from the larger park, which was full of families, many of whom seemed intent to be louder than the family next to them and it seemed like there was a competition taking place to see which parents could swear the most at each other and then at their children. It was just awful to witness such behaviour. Our park, Golden Sands was the complete opposite. It was a small site offering peace and tranquillity, run by onsite Wardens who were welcoming and very helpful. There is private access down to one of the biggest, sandy beaches ever, which is also dog friendly. Just perfect for us, as we had a four legged friend in tow. There are no facilities at Golden Sands which was a blessing, as it meant those staying there were looking for same quiet retreat that we were. The Caravan was good, given how little this break had cost. It was very clean, great shower and equipped with everything you that you needed. Just remember that only the Lodges are provided with towels, something that I must have missed when booking. This issue was quickly resolved for us. You hire them, if you don't take your own. The most disappointing aspect of the Caravan was the double bed, as the mattress had a plastic coating. This meant the sheets continuously slipped off and you ended up stuck to the plastic of the mattress. I thought you only got these types of mattresses in Hospital and I have never, ever come across one on a bed in a Caravan or Lodge before. If you insist on using these mattresses, can I suggest that you use a mattress topper between the mattress and the top sheet, which would make the sleep experience so much better. We found quality food venues, completely lacking in Brean. Nearly all food venues are owned by Unity, who own Golden Sands and many other establishments in Brean, including the Indian, which was just awful, the food was bland, tasteless and had no heat. We just wanted a quiet Pub, that served home cooked food and wasn't overun with shouting families and their kids, which was impossible to find. Hence, we would not return to Golden Sands, not because we didn't like the site or our caravan, but because the resort seems to be totally geared to those who want Burger & Chips from a van or are happy to eat in one of the large venues owned by Unity, that are full of loud families and serve average quality, mass produced food. It suits some, but it certainly doesn't suit us. We'll be heading back to the New Forest in a couple of weeks time, which offers a totally different type of holiday experience. If it was possible to uplift Golden Sands and move it to the south coast, we'd happily return.

Visited for 4 nights (mon-Fri) during Easter holidays. Had a really enjoyable stay. Went with 2 other families, in total 3 adults and 6kids (ages 4years-13years), staying across 3 caravans. Check in was quick and easy, caravan VERY clean, well equipped, has everything you need. It’s a small, quiet site, where the children can play outside safely, direct beach access and approximately a 10-15minute walk to main HRU site. This suits us perfectly, but may not be what everyone wants. Carol and John do a great job of keeping Golden Sands site and caravans in great condition. Can’t wait to return.
