Holiday Resort Unity is situated approximately 200m from the five miles of sandy beaches at Brean. Also enjoy the facilities of Brean Leisure Park where there are rides and amusements galore to entertain the kids, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools with waterslides, the famous Kids Club and indoor and outdoor play areas. There's also a host of activities and great places to visit nearby for both children and grown-ups. And remember, if self catering to Mum means eating out, then give her a break from the cooking and treat her to the great, tasty food available at our many restaurants and snack bars! Dogs are welcome in touring and camping fields plus some of our own caravans to hire. Why not buy a static caravan holiday home and visit as often as you like! We have a selection of new and second hand used caravans for sale. Holiday Resort Unity incorporates the facilities of Unity Farm and Brean Leisure Park. We are a family run business that has been offering holidays in this beautiful part of the West Country for some 70 years, starting with three caravans in the corner of a field shared with 100 cows. The cows have now gone but our resort still enjoys fantastic views over open countryside and boasts more facilities than any other park in Britain making us one of the prime destinations for any UK family holiday. As a family business we understand our guest needs and our mission is to provide 'more than just a holiday' to all of our guests. Many of our guests choose to return frequently through the season and benefit from our loyalty card scheme. We hope that you choose our Resort and look forward to offering you a warm welcome when you visit.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hi Can I just say we feel let down by the fact I paid for a upgrade to a platinum van just to find out that first not enough beds had been made up and when I called someone bought us the bedding then cleared off making me phone again to get it made. Secondly Saturday night rained bad and as we found out the guttering was broken so we had dripping all night. Thirdly we was not told we were not allowed to go into the social club as you had a private function on for owners thus making us look for other accommodation for entertainment and lastly the pictures we saw on your Web site for the platinum van was nothing like the one we had...1 double and rest single and these were for adults so our visit to your site was very disappointing for money paid Best Regards

The caravan was in a lovely location just at the rear of brean splash. It had been cleaned to a very high standard, and had everything we needed. Had some lovely nights in RJs. Kids had a fab time. Will definitely book again.

We're just back today from a Sun weekend at Holiday Resort Unity. Being November we weren't too surprised to see that the onsite supermarket was a little lower on supplies than it might have been in peak season, and RJ's was also lacking a lot of their menus items, although my friend's absolutely loved the pizza, and I had a good Sirloin steak there on the one night we could try the venue (would have prefered Ribeye but sadly that was one of the many out of stocks). The supermarket is quite pricey though and is labelled on the map as Costcutters, sells Co-Op items, but doesn't seem to be physically branded as either. On arrival we didn't see that reception was outside of the barriers as there didn't seem to be any signage or staff directing arrivals or anything (again that might be because it was November and quiet). We had registered the car's number plate online before arrival and had been assured that the barrier would automatically open for our car, so therefore we drove straight up to the ANPR gate and waited and waited for it to automatically open, then pressed the button for help and waited again for it to eventually open, then we got inside the park and were left baffled trying to find where reception was until we eventually found it back on the outside of the barriers. We purchased entertainment passes at an extra cost of £49.75 for 5 of us (no idea if the kids and adults were different rates though as I didn't go into reception myself and my friend never told me how the cost broke down). We later discovered a full set of entertainment passes for all of us were already included in our welcome pack, so we went back to reception to query whether we had paid unnecessarily and were told they must have put a set in the welcome pack by mistake. We were only there for three nights and we already knew early on in our break that RJ's would be closed on the Saturday for a private function, but as the app only shows a day or two's information at a time we didn't know until quite late that there would also be no entertainment on the Sunday either. A 3-day entertainment pass for one day's entertainment as it turned out, perhaps that's why a set of passes had been put into the welcome pack, although if that was the case then presumably no-one told the person in reception that we spoke to when we went back to query it. I do concede though that the others in my group also used the entertainment passes to reduce the cost of the soft play and swimming. I do also want to say that the one night of entertainment we got was actually very very good, there was a kids bit called something like Tinkertime or something like that (I have tried to Google it but can't find anything online), where my friend's kid managed to mess up the entertainers first big trick when she was colouring in the four clothing items, meaning it didn't work for apparently the first time all year, and that guy was very funny and entertaining, even for the adults (It wasn't Chunky (as far as i know) but I don't know what the guy we saw's name was). The lady singing later on, Nicola something, was also very good too, starting out with an Amy Winehouse tribute act (but apparently she more often does Lady Gaga) and then coming back out a bit later as herself doing a range of other songs. With it being November there was plenty of room in RJ's and no major issues with queues. And we also enjoyed the song bingo thing we played, and the kids liked the kids bingo early on in the evening (as a side we might try to remember on any future carvan park holidays to take our own pens to the clubhouse for the bingo, as, like a lot of other similar parks, they charge 50p a pen if you have to use theirs). There were free swimming passes in the welcome pack for us to have one each, but I think my friend said that as the code was the same on all of the free swim passes that only one free session could actually be applied on the app meaning the rest of them paid half price (but I could have misunderstood her, or she could just have been doing something wrong). The onsite takeaways sadly closed for the season the week before we were there, which I don't think we knew about in advance either. The caravan was pretty good, although the bare beds were rather worringly stained in places. We had called and checked twice and had been told that as this was a Sun holiday there would be no bedding of any kind provided, not even duvets or pillows, and had accepted that this would be the case and therefore crammed all our duvets and pillows from home into the car alongside our cases etc, however on checking around the caravan on the final morning when we were packing up the car we discovered all the caravan's duvets and pillows had been under the main double bed in the main bedroom all along, which lifted up to reveal a compartent they were in, but we didn't know to do this as the bed seemed to have solid sides so you wouldn't think to look under it in the way you would for ordinary beds with a gap all the way around underneath, and even when I did find out on the last morning it was only because I wanted to check under the mattress for any mislaid posessions and found myself lifting the whole bed frame up on rods that were sprung or hyrdraulic or something. We were very happy indeed to have a wifi hub in the caravan and paid £18 for three days of the 15 Mbps access (which actually must run based on the exact time it begins from, as well as just calendar days, as it was still working on the morning of day 4 (our last day) having paid on the afternoon of day 1. The connection was pretty reliable and comfortably coped with the many devices our group had with us. We did think the oven wasn't working for the first day or so until we realised that it was actually gas, with a mostly concealed flame in the bottom, and not as we had all assumed on the first day electric. We then worked out that the dial to set the desired oven temperature (and not gas mark, as gas cookers would normally have their dials callibrated in) also doubled as the ignition when you pressed it in. Perhaps a leaflet in the caravan for how to work the mod cons would be useful, though possibly it could just be the case that the carvan had instructions for the cooker at the start of the season and that these had already walked at some point earlier in the season. There was a nice couple on a golf cart who came over to our carvan when we first arrived and were still unloading the car, and the guy demo'd the heating for us, but that was really very simple anyway, just an up arrow to turn the heating level up through five levels, and a down arrow to turn it down again, plus the fact that it would gradually drop down through the levels itself after running for a while, so I think we'd have worked that out for ourselves, and could have done with a demo of the cooker instead as it turns out. There was a fire, but it was labelled as being for decorative purposes only, yet it was possible to switch it on, which we did once or twice, so I'm not sure what the label was for. We did like the fact that we had two seperate toilets in our caravan, although one of the toilet doors was a little bit temperamental and didn't lock properly if you hadn't really carefully pulled the door in and made sure it clicked fully into the door frame before actually turning the lock, which meant if you weren't careful it was then possible for someone to open the door from the outside even though you thought you were locked in, but lucikly we discovered this very early on, and before anyone accidentally walked in on someone who was using the facility, although it was unfortunately the bathroom with the shower that had the minor door issue, rather than the one without.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. The entertainment passes that you paid for not only gain you access to the entertainment venues but also give you discounted tickets into Brean Play and Brean splash. Although RJS was closed for a private event we did have Breakers open for guests with entertainment on. We do provide a full schedule of what will be open and when under the facilities section on our website to make you aware of what will be open before booking. I'm sorry to see that you had some difficulties getting the oven working and with your bathroom door, letting us know about issues like these as they arise would allow us to rectify the issues for you. I am however pleased to see that you did enjoyed your time in RJs and hope that I can welcome you back in the future.

Far too expensive. Everything is too expensive, from caravans to food and drinks. Once you are there you need to eat out as it’s far cheaper. Not a good experience at all. Too crowded for comfort. I can go abroad for less money.

I was dreading it. Been years since I went camping, and yes I found the camping part a challenge, I was shocked at how clean and warm the wash rooms was, Antoinette maintained a very high standard for us to enjoy. I loved my daily shower because I could relax in a warm clean environment.
