We stayed at this great accommodation for 8 days we booked the rabbie burns and the foxglove because we had a large party. The owners couldn't do enough for us and were great answering questions before we arrived. We stayed here because we got married at the brig o doon and was the best venue we could of chosen. The...

Fantastic three bedroomed bungalow. Much bigger than I expected. Beautiful setting with assault course, football pitch and play park for younger kids. Other properties looked of equally high standard. Would recommend to anyone. Lots to do in the surrounding area for families as well, so makes a great base.

We stayed for a weekend break with another family of four (so 8 of us in total). The house was very spacious and immaculately clean. There were loads of walks and 2 playgrounds for the children which was perfect for entertaining them. Had all the things you would expect from high class accommodation - good wifi and some games for...

Booked all 3 cottages for my sisters 18th birthday as she wanted a quiet weekend away with girls and family. Excellent service and communication from owners, cottages all amazing and exactly what we had been looking for. Everyone spent most of the time in Balcraig as this was very spacious and comfortable. Everyone had an amazing weekend and would all...

I stayed here as part of a Thistle Camp group of volunteers. Very well kitted out with lovely, comfortable and warm rooms. The wifi was crap but hey its the countryside!! Shame I didn't get to explore the estate (way too tired after volunteering) but I would recommend Balbeg to anyone

This cottage is ridiculously tiny - can barely walk around the 4ft 6in double bed in the double room, which has nowhere at all to store clothes or anything else. The shower in the bathroom is just a curtain around a shower tray, and the whole cottage smells damp. I would consider this cottage totally unsuitable for a family of...

We stayed here for New Year and it couldn't have been better suited for our group of 25 adults and children. We had three properties - the main lodge and two other cottages and it was perfect for us. Wonderful location for walking and mountain biking, although if you want to walk to pubs or shops you'll be out of...

Stayed at the lodge in December for a "big" birthday celebration. There was 14 of us staying and we all had a wonderful time, with plenty of room. The lodge was perfect with everything we needed supplied, and great facilities. Have no hesitation in recommending Balbeg.

We have stayed twice at Balcraig House with members of my husbands extended family. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Very homely, the house is well furnished and very spacious. Nice local walks with children's play area just down the road. Straiton is a very quaint little village which is a mile or two down the road, we walked it...
