We have eaten here a couple of times recently and cannot fault the food. It's always a pleasure when you know someone has taken care to prepare, present & cook well, & in this aspect, The Seaview excels. Service is always rapid too, it's a pleasure to eat here.

We have always enjoyed this friendly local pub. Cozy in winter and beautiful pub garden in summer. Chef always amazes us with his skills to plate us something really yum for my vegetarian requests. My other half enjoys his steak there with delish pepper sauce. Management is friendly and all of them spoil you with their hospitality. Will highly recommend...

We'd heard it had improved again, so tried an evening dinner. The menu was disappointing, very basic pub food, quite uninspired, looks all bought-in. Specials menu equally uninspired, four dishes - one was the curry selection from the main menu, a beef stew, a salmon dish and a vegetarian with halloumi cheese. My wife chose the ham, egg and chips,...

Must say the staff behind the bar were very helpful. However the rooms were adequate but very cold for this time of the year. We were a large party of 11 & had supper in bar area (which was a shame that we weren't put in the back area) on Saturday night, as this was very noisy. More importantly we...

I have just revisited The Seaview Restaurant and found the menu has changed to the winter menu. I had a job to choose which lunch I wanted especially as they had lamb shanks. Anyway, as the weather was mild I chose the flaky pastry chicken and mushroom pie, it came with boiled potatoes, green beens cauliflower and mashed Swede all...

The location is lovely and the staff were really friendly, however, the rooms were very grubby and in dire need of an update and a good bottle of bleach. The owners just need to don the marigolds and tick off a checklist on a clipboard - nothing too major.

Well, what a fabulous find. Taken here on a visit to friends, who live in the area. Busy, friendly and dog-friendly hotel/pub which is a wonderful haven for the locals and those in the know. Fabulous pub food and so reasonably priced. Good portions and lovely limited choice which was perfect.Friendly polite staff and was full on a Thursday lunchtime....

Well despite the somewhat bizarre reviews, we decided to try The Seaview albeit with fear and trepidation. Clearly, the place has had a face lift since our last visit and is much better for it. The menu was more than adequate and there were a few specials on the board. We chose sandwiches in the end and were delighted to...

A friend who I was doing the challenge with booked this hotel and tbh, all we wanted was a clean decent room to get our head down In, after toasting our 50km challenge success - at a reasonable price. Price - extremely good for a bank holiday weekend and room was indeed clean. However..... Only one choice of bottled lager...
