Where to start? I have visited many hotels throughout the World, but this has to be the worst of them all. It is dark, smelly, dirty, unwelcoming with a misleading website . As many other reviewers have commented apart from the suspicious 'good reviews’ I will list the Cons and Pro of this establishment: Cons 1) The first thing you...

Ok, I cant knock the friendliness of the staff here, they were polite to me got me extra towels when I asked and the steak and salad was descent enough. However....My room was so so grubby and the smell of the pub is still engrained in my nose! It smells like really strong old deep fried food. The carpet in...

Landlord was unsociable and unhelpful. Coffee and tea making machine was frequently not working. Had to ask twice for some towels. Bin not emptied in the 4 nights we stayed. Toilet flush button was a rusty screw. Electricity sockets were faulty. Both ceiling and bedside lamps were not bright enough to read by. TV only received one channel. Very noisy...

Car park only holds 4 cars without blocking anyone in, so bear that in mind if you're getting there late, or are precious about your car being nearby. It's an old-fashioned pub. Small dark rooms, but cosy. There's about 8 rooms up the stairs. Mine was a twin-bedded room with a sloping floor. Bathroom was 2 steps higher than the...

I stayed one night and was apprehensive due to the negative comments. Ignore them, this is a great place. I got a warm welcome when I arrived, room was clean and well decorated, bed comfy, TV reasonable size. Real ale in bar was good and well priced. Food also good and plenty of it. Breakfast freshly cooked and good. Car...

This place is a shambles. I booked for a 2 day stay but 2 days before I was rushed into hospital with a life threatening illness. My partner rang the next day to cancel and was told by the Assistant Manager not to worry. A week later, once discharged from hospital my credit bill was showing that we had been...

BUT, after the shock of the car-park leading into a very dark bar area, stepping back in time with a strong stench of old fires/cooking fat we were shown to our room. From 1st impressions of a 'bikers pub' it was better than I thought, fairly spacious and clean -...
