I was lucky enough to have dinner here with family and new found friends. We tried an array of entrée ' and thoroughly enjoyed them..our mains were wonderful you just savored every mouthful. Sitting on a beautiful deck in a very beautiful setting. What a great team at the affectionately named 'The Alby'

We went to the " Älby" for lunch with friends and family earlier this week. The meals were great - the children were able to safely play in the playground while we sat out on the deck having lunch and eating and a drink. The meals were served all together, no one was left waiting and the salads were superb....

We were on an organised trip, so we went were we were told. However, this place was a bit better than we were anticipating. The room was clean, and the restaurant was OK. Good to get to use a washing machine after a week of driving. Dinner and breakfast were fine. Nice to watch the sunset over the water from...

We found the staff to be exceptional, with warm and friendly service from reception to bar staff. The restaurant was recommended and did not disappoint, meals were great value and of best quality, if you can try the barramundi. Rooms are a little worn but after a lengthy travel journey, beds were comfortable and clean. The view from restaurant was...

I have stayed here on many occasions for my work and the rooms, although dated, are comfortable and clean. The bar at the resort overlooks Albatross Bay and is a very pleasant place for an afternoon drink. The food at the restaurant is I bit up and down, depending on the chef on duty however this is understandable as the...

There was nothing special about this place, but it is probably the best place to stay in Weipa. It is located in good location on the edge of a bay, but the buildings don't really take advantage of the location. The rooms were clean but very bland. Disappointingly there is no pool and it's not really a resort just a...

Comfortable hotel/motel style accommodation that is called a resort. Rooms are outdated but comfortable and the wifi worked. Pub out the front is your standard issue country/local pub. Dinning area is modern, classy and the food was great. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Stayed Albatross Hotel Resort. and our room was so, so. It was in the main block of rooms on the ground floor and It could have done with a little bit of TLC. The resort had a variety of accommodation catering for permanents, two star visitors and just three star?? which we stayed in. Accommodation is very interesting out the...

I have stayed here a number of times, on work trips. I avoid it if I can. The "Alby" is not a resort. It is an outback pub with fancy restaurant attached and basic hotel / motel rooms. There is no pool! The worst thing, though, is the attitude of the staff. I have never been able to use the...

well they call it a resort, what a joke no pool in far north queensland. After camping for 2 weeks up north, I was looking for a nice place to stay and relax before heading back home. The family room we were put in had not much, 2 chairs at the table when I had booked for 3. The room...
