Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bathroom very old fashioned (no separate shower cabin), very noisy since the walls are very thin, pool located in the inner courtyard Room was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. AC was available Location is good since many bars and shops are in the neighborhood. Beach is within walking distance. Okay to stay for 1 or 2 nights and/or if you are looking for an affordable accommodation

I will never stay here again. First room i got was dirty and full of ants and bugs. Asked to get a new one. Was a little bit better but far from what i expected for the price. The only reason this gets two stars and not one is because they have a ok pool and the location is great. But you will find nicer places in the area. Staff speaks very little english. And not too eager to help when you ask for something.

After running away from the originally booked hotel, we managed to get a room here for three nights. Terrific, spacious room, very friendly and helpfull staff, fantzstic bars and restaurants with great food. The fire show at night is also worth staying up for. Will definitely book again when coming back to krabi or ao nang!

I liked this hotel. May seem a bit basic but has everything you need for a stay in Ao Nang. The location is really good. You’re in the middle of things and a short walk to the beach and of you go the other way a short walk to the food centre which was my favourite place to eat. Also has a pool of you want that.

We first stayed in Ao Nang Village Resort in 2014 and came back because of the good memories of what we experienced five years ago. The location remains excellent and the nice beach right in front of the hotel was at no time overcrowded. Long tails boats had moved closer however, and we had the “pleasure” of the noise of the engines. Ao Nang in general has unfortunately developed far too much poor quality tourism, but the resort stands away from this. In 2019 we stayed for six nights. The two pools, especially the one at the back, are very fine and the garden area around is well kept. The resort is getting older and needs maintenance and upgrading to justify the price charged. The rooms are not up to today’s standards, especially the bathrooms suffer. The tub in our room was leaking and the floor flooded. The TV set was old, had a small screen and poor reception. Wi-Fi however worked fine. The worst thing about the room was the old A/C unit which could not be properly adjusted and produced terrible noise making comfortable sleeping impossible. We had booked a superior sea view room but only had 35 percent sea view because of a tree blocking the view. Still watching sunset from the balcony is great. The location of the restaurant is fantastic. We remembered the breakfast service as being very good. It is still good, but not up to what one expects in 2019 at that price. This goes for the room, for the cups, plates etc and the food served. Only one toaster unit and the coffee and tea station simply too bad. We did not dine in the restaurant this time after having seen the prices on the menu. The very loud noise from the gigantic loudspeakers at the beach bar is simply very poor taste – started the same thing at the back pool. Unbelievable. Like in 2014, friendly, helpful and mostly smiling staff. It is tough to write a negative review because we like the resort very much, but the room rate simply cannot be justified with the standard of the hotel today. The location and the grounds and the general atmosphere justify 5*, but the present standard of the rooms, the other issues mentioned and the room rate only brings us to a total of 3*.

I spent 3 nights here and it was superb. The rooms on the left where i stayed were older than the rooms on the right of the pool. It never bothered me as my room was spacious, clean and lots of light. Breakfast was simple but adequate and the breakfast area was pretty overlooking the pool. Friendly staff. From the road, the Entrance looks very basic, but beyond that, its lovely and lush. Colleen Smith. South Africa

The location is really good, I loved it, it’s super close to the beach and is right in the center of all the businesses. The downside is that there is no air conditioning in the lobby. The walls are really thin and you can hear everything. Besides that it was pretty great. Oh and the Wi-Fi kept kicking me out from using it. That was a bit frustrating Bc i had to re enter the code multiple times. I came there around 1 pm to check in and there was no one at the front desk for a quite a while.. i decided to walk around and found the staff eating lunch together.. so maybe they take lunch breaks.
