Stayed here for 3 days before leaving for Phuket. Very nice and modern environment for a backpacker hostel. Original plan was staying for 1 night; however, end up 3 nights staying there. 7 minutes walk to Noppharat Beach and 15 minutes to Ao Nang Beach.

Very clean and new bathroom so definitely no problem for Mysophobia. Moreover, shampoo and shower foam are provided in the bathroom as well. 2 big air-conditioner in the room for 16-mixed dorm, so no hot feeling at all.

Each bed is given a big blanket and a towel as well, so no more no wet towel issue in the bag anymore to continue your journey. No big locker for the backpack but a small locker is provided in the room. Bring your own padlock for extra security measure.

Next to the hostel there is a Muslim mini mart, so there will be no alcohol for sale. However for those looking for alcoholic beverages, a 7-11 is behind the hostel where 1-minute walk distance.

Staff are very nice to chit-chat with. Although they are not very good in English, but they will try their best to let you understand. Very nice customer service effort!

Forgot to mentioned, each bed is equipped with one reading light and personal power socket. Wifi is strong and fast though.

A little out of the way from the beach/main strip, but we knew that. It's about a 10-15 minute walk, or there are plenty of tuktuks. The hostel is very clean, modern and overall was a really nice stay. It's quiet at night, so ideal if you want a good nights sleep, not so good if you want to party. The only downside is it's not very sociable, so not so great if you're travelling alone wanting to meet folk.

This hostel was great. Suitable for backpackers and riders. They were 7 of us and we stay at the dormitry. The room were clean and up to expectation. The arrangement of the island's trip done by the staff and they are really friendly and helpfull. Its a walking distance to beach and food centre. The parking was just in front of the hostel. Highly recomended to riders (bikers).

Loved this hostel. The dorms were clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and friendly. You get a little 'snack box' breakfast every morning. It's a short walk from the main road in Ao Nang and the beach. You can also do laundry, book tours and airport taxi from the reception. Would stay again.

Cannot fault this place. 150 baht transfer from airport. Great location no more than 10 minute walk from beach, restaurants, bars, shops etc. Staff extremely helpful. All areas of hostel very clean. Laundry service on site (40 baht per kilo). Souvenir shops, street food, 7/11 all very good and on door step. There is a bar downstairs but is not part of hotel. If drinks were cheaper we would have drank there as they play lots of televised sports. Take boat from bottom of street to Railay beach (200 baht return) it's beautiful there! Cannot fault this hostel all bathrooms were spotless and felt got enough privacy in dorms although we were sharing with 8 people!

Aonang 88 is by far the most clean and modern hostel I stayed in Thailand. With 300 Baht/night it is not the cheapest one, but also not expensive. The staff is awesome: 24 hour reception that keeps your key and helps you with your problems. Even if they have some house rules regarding alcohol, they hadn't said any word to me drinking a beer in the lobby. Speaking from the lobby, there is a very comfortable couch to sit on and outside are many seats as well to get in touch with other people.

When you arrive at the hostel they tell you the beds are 450 baht, but easily will come down to 420 baht if asked so be sure to ask for a discount when you arrive! Otherwise the beds and bathroom were fine, but it is a bit of a walk from town..

We stayed here with a group of 10 backpackers and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff is great and very helpful. The rooms are very very clean, bathrooms and showers alike. Restaurant is affordable and has quick service. The location is pretty good. 5 minute walk to beach and about 10 to the main centre. We came here during the first month of opening and although it wasn't too busy yet, this hostel will be packed in no time.

We stayed here for around a week. The place is super clean and the staff very friendly. The shower and toilets are separate and even so there are a lot people it was always clean and you never need to wait to have a shower.
Outside is a nice area where you can sit have a beer and meet other people from the hostel to than go in the club with them or in your cool in quiet room.

*Love to the super sweet reaction girl. 🖤

It has a comfortable lobby area, inside and outside which both have plenty of seats and are good to hang around in. There are also plenty of showers so no waiting around at busy times. Unfortunately the wifi is very poor, it is almost impossible to do anything online. The check in staff are not at all friendly and the rooms can be loud in the evenings for a non party hostel.
