Spent four very comfortable and cosy nights at the Moors Inn. We were booked in by John who was very informative and welcoming, as we we had our dog with us he arranged a table for us for the evenings and breakfast in the cosy bar area in order that our dog could eat with us. The food and presentation...

After being snubbed at a nearby pub in Lastingham we decided to continue our journey and came across The Moors Inn. The welcome could not have been more warm or inviting with a cheery "Hello" on popping inside just to see if there were any tables free. The bar staff were so friendly and cheerful. We ordered from the Sunday...

First impressions are always important and ours were very favourable as we entered the cosy bar area after a long drive arriving in the middle of the evening. A friendly member of staff immediately showed us to our room which was spacious and well decorated with a walk-in wardrobe while the bathroom was of a very good size. Returning to...

Quaint cosy lovely pub in isolated village setting. Great friendly bar.The room was immaculate and well equipped, but sadly a little noisy as it was over the main bar area. When I mentioned this to the owners, they moved us without hesitation to another equally gorgeous room in a quieter part, where we had a wonderful nights sleep. The breakfast...

I have stayed at this inn on at least 6 occasions over the last 10 years and though it's changed owners a few times it has always been very good. However the latest management there is the best I have known it. We were on the 3rd day of a 5 day trail ride on horseback. From the moment we...

Stopped in on Sunday lunchtime while passing thru on walk and booked table for dinner in the week. We've been here before on previous holidays but not with dog. We had such a super evening. On arrival the bar was busy and we were made to feel so welcome by customers ( with and without dogs) and all the staff....

We arrived Saturday for a four day trip away. We are regulars the the Yorkshire moors but new to The moors inn. Entering into a warm and cosy pub with a lovely lit fire. After a warm welcome we were shown to our room. Absolutely lovely. It was at the front off the pub facing out onto the quiet village...

The Moors Inn is one of the most friendliest places you could hope to visit. So much so that we would class managers John and Jude to be friends they are such great people. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and the rooms are lovely, with nice touches like bottles of water and biscuits! Whenever we are in the...

The Moors Inn and it's staff deserve all the accolades that are in abundance in the vast majority of the reviews. From our experience of the four nights we stayed the team DO NOT deserve the sniping comments that some have made. Our rooms were spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. After an evening meal on the day we arrived, we...
