We had been to St Eustatius in 2006 and said we would return for the Salute to the USA, we made it back in November 2009 for the Salute. We stayed with Win and Laura the first time at King's Well and made great friends with them. The critters are great, the diving the best and the co-ordination with our...

My husband and I spent four nights at the Kings Well on Statia and truly enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the informality of family type places and that is how you feel when staying here, like family. The owners, Win and Laura like to involve the guests who are visiting to interact with each other, which is a lot of...

I had visited Statia in the spring of 2006 and really liked the old time Caribbean feel that it has. I visited again with my wife on our honeymoon and this time we stayed together at the Kingswell. I will begin by saying that the owners Win and Laura are amazing. They really go out of their way to help...

I have travelled to many destinations in the Caribbean. I have stayed at some very nice hotels and resorts. Up until the week I stayed with Win and Laura at Kings Wells Resort on the island of St. Eustatius, I can honestly say I have never experienced true hospitality. Most importantly, I have never been made to feel like a...

I have been visiting St. Eustatius since 1989 and the Kings Well Resort since they opened. Accomodations range from simple pool and garden view rooms to outstanding Caribbean front rooms. (The rates for all rooms are very reasonable, especially considering a full & hearty breakfast is included.) All rooms are large and bright and have a small frig and cable...

As soon as I walked into Kings Well I felt welcomed. Laura showed me around and made me feel so at ease. My stay was short but very sweet. Both Laura and Wyn are extremely knowledgeable about the island and know many, many people. Once Laura knew my preferences, she hooked me up with Teddy, a fellow lone traveler. Teddy...

Statia is a wonderful island and how better to enjoy the experience than staying at the Kings Well where the views on the Caribbean Sea and 17th century Dutch colonial ruins are spell-binding. The rooms are excellent and the breakfasts and dinners are really gastronomic. On Statia, everything is usually done on foot. Fitness freaks are thus advised to climb...

I have traveled and stayed on Statia many times over the years. It's the Caribbean 50 years ago. Quiet, natural and friendly. Its a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world and from the over crowdedness and commericalization from places as St. Martin. Each time I've stayed at the Kingswell Hotel. The owners Laura...

Hubby and I wanted to find a quiet Caribbean Island we had not yet visited for some R&R. We chose St. Eustatius or Statia as it is known. Since the island is very small, only a few hotels exist, and we luckily chose Kings Well Hotel. Owners Win and Laura love people and animals and their island, and the feeling...

Be aware this is not the "usual" vacation hotel. They serve breakfast only when they are ready-not when you are ready, and never with a smile. You will be inundated with nasty comments about US politics. Prepare yourself for a barrage against anything from the US (except the US money, which they readily accept!). If we had not rented motor...

There are several errors in the report. !: We are the only Hotel that will serve breakfast for guests who have to be at the airport by 6:30 a.m. all the other hotels start at 7a.m. or later. We also serve till after 10a.m. if needed. Since I am an American, I do not hate the States, in fact I...
