We stayed at Losta Sahil Evi for seven nights in September, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our room was in Losta Sahil Evi 3, which is the modern block right on the waterfront, next to the traditional ‘beach house’. Our room was clean and comfortable, with good air-con, a great shower, nice towels and bedding, and a balcony. The hotel has a couple of decking platforms in front, built out into the sea, they have sun-beds, shades, and ladders down into the fabulously clean and clear water if you fancy a dip. The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was easy walking distance into the town, but far out enough to keep it relatively quiet. We were staying there on a bed and breakfast basis, and the Turkish breakfasts we were served with were fabulous, tasty and filling. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, and the mix of British and Turkish guests helped to create a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Selimiye is mainly a Turkish holiday resort, and we got the impression it was popular with the cool and trendy set, there are some very flash restaurants along the sea-front, and plenty of nice shops in the town itself. We really enjoyed our stay in Selimiye, and we would have no hesitation in recommending Losta Sahil Evi, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed hotel on the waterfront, within easy walking distance of all the attractions that Selimiye has to offer.

This small boutique hotel is just beautiful. The staff are brilliant nothing was too much trouble for the bar staff. The cleaners did an amazing job daily cleaning our room - spotless! Breakfast was just incredible. Little jetty to swim from which is lovely. Plenty of space. Nice walk in to town with lots of restaurants - check the menu & pricing though as some don’t have an English menu. Have been twice now and would highly recommend it. Will be visiting again

A place less travelled. This idyllic location is complemented by the wonderful accommodation and hospitality of this quaint authentic hotel. So much so that my husband and I who had spent a week here in 2021 were compelled to return with all our family in September 2022. They are all in love with this place. We took four sea facing rooms on the top floor of the white building (Mehtap owns three). The views are exceptional and we loved our little balcony. We will be back!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for a week in May. We had a small terrace with views of the bay, and of Selimiye. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel has a bathing platform and an open air bar/breakfast area. The staff was fantastic, serving drinks and delicious food in the bar, on the bathing platform, or on our terrace. The staff were always cheerful and helpful, and also patient with me over my irrational fear of cats. (Actually really nice cats!!) The hotel is right on the water, set in pretty, well tended gardens, within easy walking distance of Selimiye. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay arranged through Simpson Travel, and hope to return one day. We also enjoyed our yoga sessions with Defne, who helped make our holiday even more memorable.

I booked this place 3 months earlier and the confirmation stated that no further confirmation is required and payment will be made at the hotel. I also sent a message to the hotel informing that we will be arriving in the late afternoon. Therefore when we arrived at the hotel by 7pm, I was surprised to find out that our room was given away an hour before! The manager explained that he tried to contact me the day before (there was no voicemail or emails) and when he tried to charge my credit card (not sure why, unless a customer is no show), he realised that my card has expired (which has just been renewed), and therefore decided to cancel our booking! He also explained that he has checked this with Expedia who agreed with the cancellation. When I then called Expedia, they had no record of this and explained that they would never cancel a booking without contacting me first (which they haven’t). The manager then showed us a sub-standard room at their sister hotel, we accepted to stay there for 1 night (at no cost with my insistence) and moved on the next day. The thing that annoyed us the most was not what has happened, but how the hotel manager handled the situation. During the whole conversation, he kept explaining why he was right in cancelling and feels comfortable as he covered himself with Expedia (he even accused me for putting in invalid card details) and there was never a word of apology for the inconvenience caused and absolutely no focus on customer experience.

Dear Mrs Mason, As ı said to you,the day before ı tried to take prepayment on the credit card. But I couldn't manage.System didn't validated.Because card was expired last july..(as you know as a bank employee ,cards are renewed two months in advance of their expiry date.) After that I tried to contact with you and made a phone call that at 14:42 the day before you arrived.. (still keeping the records)that u havent answered and told me u had missed calls.. İn spite of everything we kept the room untill the same day... By the way we didnt get any information about the late arrival.. And then I made a phone call at 17:27 to expedia customer service ,informed them about te invalid card ,and I was told , ıf the guest didn't arrive I wouldn't be able to get room fee therefore,ı have cancelled the booking with their advice and sold the room.. However when you arrived ,we have given you a sea view room in our sister hotel which is next door to the main one and didn't charged anything. As a result, İf you look at the policy of the company you have book your holiday with ,you can see ;we have every right to cancel the booking which has invalid card details. In our business,we encounter similiar cases very frequently..But since I believe that you are a customer with good intentions I tried to fix this misunderstanding by providing one of our room that has a sea wiev without any charges. I truly thought that this would make up for the misunderstanding . Sorry for inconvenience caused to you and We are always ready to host you anytime you like .. Regards

We travelled with Simpson Travel and stayed for two weeks in the Aurora Bungalow. This is one of only six rooms in the hotel and provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. You will not get a better location, just a few yards from the sea and a great view across the bay to Selimiye. We were the only English people staying during the second week and really enjoyed meeting the hotels Turkish guests. The staff were first class and very attentive to the guests needs. We will be back.

Even though the rooms where basic. i.e. No paper down the toilet etc The rooms were cleaned immaculately Good bed linen and towels. The staff were exceptional, there was nothing to small that they wouldn't do. The food was so fresh and tasty. THE BREAKFAST IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD !!! A very relaxed atmosphere with amazing views. We went slightly too late in the season and not much choice of restaurants as many were closed but the ones that were only served wonderfully fresh seafood that you could chose yourself from a chilled counter. My only downside are there are too many cats walking around everywhere. That is because I am scared of cats and found it quite overwhelming at times, but they friends I were with didn't mind them. But that hasn't really anything to do with the hotel and I can not praise them highly enough.

We have just returned from our second stay at this lovely hotel. It is situated right on the sea front, so you wake to the sight of crystal clear water lapping at the sea wall. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the showers were hot. There was decking over the water for easy swimming and sun lounging. Breakfast was traditional Turkish with yoghurt, cheese, bread, eggs, fruit, honey and salad (and a different addition every morning -cheese pastries, herb filled rolls etc). Afternoon tea was served on the decking with great cakes. Service was smiling and helpful - car hire and a wonderful boat trip on the Santa Maria were arranged quickly and efficiently. The village itself was very quiet in late October and we loved it all!

We have just returned from 2 weeks stay at Losta Sahil Evi. This is a lovely small hotel. We loved our room which was kept spotless by Hassan. It has a wonderful view over the sea. Breakfast as other reviewers have said is a feast and beautifully presented. A special bonus is the afternoon tea with homemade cake which is served to you while you recline on your sunbed. All the staff were always charming and helpful. A wonderful relaxing holiday. Thank you Losta Sahil Evi

We have just returned from a week at the Losta and although we have had many happy holidays in Turkey this was one of the best. The location is great, quiet- yet close enough to all the facilities you need for the perfect break. The Losta is very close to the water's edge and the swimming is great. The room was itself was comfortable, sparkling clean and being on the upper floor had lovely views across the stunning bay. Special mention to the staff who gave excellent service. Extra special mention to the breakfasts which were the best we had ever had and with the added bonus of being served direct to your table ie no buffet style queuing. If you can manage it,tea and superb homemade cake are also serves at 5 pm each day. All in all just the 'chilled out' week's break we needed.
