El Cid is conveniently located in downtown area, close to restaurants and within walking distance to main pier. Place is dated and could use a facelift; but staff makes you feel at home with a 'can do' attitude for anything you require. Not an upscale place, but definitively a good option for a few nights or business trips.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was spacious and overlooked the street; however that meant it was very noisy, especially at night. The decor was dated but had all the necessities - fridge, storage space, A/C (which was also old and noisy). The beds were comfortable & the towels fine. Shower had decent pressure & lots of hot...

This hotel is in a good location and is quite reasonably priced. Very important that you ask for a room in the back, as the street noise level is high. Shower was OK, plenty of hot water with moderate pressure. Decor was dated but interesting. Carpet was old and weird, not really dirty, but not really clean. Nice flat screen...

My business partner and I had to stay in Ensenada for a conference and the main hotel was booked so we ended up here. The staff were hospitable, though there was some confusion about our 3rd party booking through a travel website. Aside from that, we found the place to be adequate with the rooms quite spacious. Parking was good...

Stayed at El Cid over New Years. Staff was friendly, helpful. Room was spacious, small balcony over the street. The room itself was dated, could use updating. Carpet a bit skeevy, sheets had stains on them. Very strange artwork in my room-framed folded Mexican blanket with sheets of scotch taped together construction paper as the background. They did change the...

Truly a "rustic" hotel in a great location-close enough to walk to everything but not near a noisy bar, great eats just steps away from reception. Very clean, nice room, queen bed was very comfortable (and my girlfriend would say so if it wasn't), and although there is no lift, the staircases are easy to climb since they only go...

A very well-kept colonial hotel. The hotel is surrounded by interesting shops and a great variety of good restaurants .... and all within walking distance. The hotel has it's own parking lot which makes it convenient for visitors travelling by car.

The best thing about BW El Cid is it's situation, right on a main throughfare and a few blocks from Ensenadas main party scene. The cost seems pretty fair for this reason, as inside it's OK, nothing more. Clean, certainly, but starting to show its age. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette, but without utensils so it's really...

Many hotels in Mx are not quite up to US standards. However, all 10 of us were extremely satisfied with our stay at the El Cid. The staff was friendly and very helpful every step of the way. Yes, the rooms were furnished with older furniture but it was sturdy, clean and comfortable. The restaurant next door was fantastic. Great...
