This hotel was the best decision I could make for my first foray traveling solo into Mexico. Alfredo and Norma were incredibly welcoming and funny, and were curious about my day, 8 of which I spend here. I stayed (happily) in Room #1: Rupestre, which means cave paintings, and I thought it was charming and enchanting. The AC and fans... More

My friends and I stumbled into the Yeneka hotel to escape from the mid-afternoon heat of La Paz and to grab a chilled adult beverage. We immediately felt as though we had fallen down a rabbit hole into an alternate, trippy, and I have to say, mildly creepy, universe. The hotel is composed on two levels of rooms that open... More

We stayed at the Hotel Yeneka solely because the name kept popping up every time I goggled hotels in La Paz. By the reviews in Tripadvisor I know we had to check it out and we were not disappointed! You cannot really describe all that is hanging, sitting, just IN the courtyard. From the stuffed monkey in the model T... More

Like the reviewer before me, we did not actually spend the night. We tripped upon this unique place when we were wandering around downtown, and they graciously invited us in to look at their collection of art. Given a tour of the rooms, they appeared clean, "funk-ily" decorated and comfortable. So really my 5 stars are for the courtyard, the... More

Although we didn't spend the night at this hotel, our family truly enjoyed touring the grounds. The management enjoys having lookers be amazed and allows them to roam the grounds and experience the unique decorations. We talked to a family from France who were spending the night and they seemed very pleased with their experience there. It is not a... More

Wandering La Paz, we found this little hotel in a guidebook. Isaak was frienndly, and there appeared to be 2 guests having shots of tequila at the tiny hotel bar. We arrived late at night and so we really just needed a place to crash. It's not for everyone, it is decorated with "thrift junk" ie an old toilet used... More

This is like an I Spy book and although we didn't stay here, we met a couple who did and went back twice. We can't even explain all the different things that have been collected over the last 40 years. This is truly an iconic place and a must see event. It's the most unique place I have ever seen... I spent two months in La Paz and found this place to be one of its real gems, its in a great location, Isaak and Jorge are great people with outstanding local knowledge and are such good hosts, and the hotel itself is a truly special place that can not be described in words and can only be experienced. If... More
