If you look for a place to relax and enjoy the silence I highly recommend Quinta Erica. The place is owned and lead by a German emigrant and his Mexican wife. He built a amazing place with nice little cabanas, a open air shower and pool. Everything is nestled into the nature around and looks like a unit. The lagoon...

Sitting in nearby Pie de la Cuesta village, some 8 kms west of busy Acapulco, this large homestead is nestled between a quiet and beautiful lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. You can stroll around the magnificent extension of the Quinta or swim in its cosy pool, or head directly to the beach (open and a bit imposing). Breakfasts are huge...

My boyfriend and I stayed here as a get-away birthday weekend and it was like we were in another world. We we're surround by beautiful trees, accommodations were supreme and complimentary breakfast was what we looked forward to every morning. Erika and her dad make the stay very comfortable and made us feel like a part of their family! The...

Between the violence and the tacky, expensive high-rise hotels, Acapulco these days is a place we wouldn't DREAM of staying. But, Pie de la Cuesta just down the road is a world away. We first stayed here New Year's 2011. What brought us back: the not to be missed experience of waking up before sunrise and sipping coffee from adirondack...

I have been to Quinta Erika several times. It is always the same: The cleanest rooms you can find in Guerrero. The service and breakfast are awesome! This hotel is not in the beach but you walk 8 minutes and you have the beach all to yourself. Helmut, Erika and Coco (R.I.P) have allways been the most amazing hosts! Yes,...

If you’re looking for typical 5 stars, catered to, 5 star resorts like they have in New York City, then go to New York City. If you prefer loud speakers vibrating the items off your end table at 4 am, then go down town Acapulco. But for those who prefer a very nice relaxing vacation in a clean and beautiful...

I really enjoyed my visit to Quinta Erika. It's a far cry from the busyness of Acapulco, and it's great to wake up to the sounds of birds instead of traffic. On one side of the resort is a lagoon and across the road is access to a long beach perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets (you cannot swim there...

We spent 3 nights at Quinta Erika and loved it. We were looking for an out of the way, quiet place to unwind from work and recharge batteries. This was the place. Quinta Erika is located 20 minutes or so North of Acapulco. There are buses that go by, but we have a car so made travel easy. There is...

I was expecting a rustic, charming, romantic little place. Here's what I got instead: (1) Tiny lizard poops all over the bed. They were the size of grains of rice, and even when our room was cleaned, the poops reappeared soon thereafter. (2) Lots of bugs. The inn is not in the city, so I knew to expect some bugs...
