Hotel Mercurio is an excellent value for the money. The location is excellent....near Olas Altas, a main walking street with lots of restaurants and bars. It is 2 blocks from the beach and a short walk to the gay beach and the Malecon. We LOVED its central location in quaint Zona Romantica. The staff was great. Friendly, informative, and willing...

Great staff and wonderful home made breakfast. The rooms are clean but rough and baths are in serious need updating. The happy hour serves great drinks and you really get to meet some great people from all over the country. I would stay again but I would pick a different room. Stay away from street side rooms, it is very...

Traveled with my mate to PV in February 2010. We had not traveled here before, so the Mercurio was our introduction. Big airy room with a sliver view of the ocean, the location is great. Couple blocks to the beach, coffee right around the corner, free breakfast. Couldn't ask for anything else. They say the bathrooms are in the process...

This was my second stay at the Mercurio. I have stayed at many of the other hotels in town and prefer this for a great stay. The hotel is centrally located, a short walk to the beach and an equally short walk in the other direction to the clubs. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The...

You can stay in more palatial digs; you can overlook the ocean instead of being an easy block and a half away but you won't find a more friendly, happy, helpful, concerned group of people than those who run this small hotel. Alma and her towel creations after cleaning our room, Jorge's smiling bar, Danny, Isaac and Alex beaming at...

Well, you want to go to a gay hotel in a part of the city - the romantic zone of Puerto Vallarta- where you have a huge choce because every hotel is either gay or gay-friendly, you don't care being in a room which is very small, cavern-like, that smells mold, where you pay more than many other conmfortable and...

I've stayed at many places in the PV Zona Romatica over the years;Blue Chairs, Vallarta Cora, Hotel Los Arcos and others; and I love this place. The location is great, the staff is excellent, the food is authentic and the price is good. The center court yard is the best for socializing at breakfast, happy hour and late into the...

Rooms were sub-par with dingy baths. Very noisy and did not feel safe. Wooden door did not latch from inside and room safe's ($30 deposit and $1 per day )was at the expense of the guest. Gourmet breakfast is anything but. Respectable Gay travelers should look elsewhere.

I stayed at the Mercurio from Jan. 23rd until Feb. 1st, 2010. The rooms were somewhat small, but kept very clean. The staff was very friendly and always greeted you. They were willing to answer any questions which you might have. Since it is a small hotel, you had the opportunity to visit with the other guests at breakfast and...
