When you arrive, you may be disappointed, until you get inside. The interior features two outdoor courtyard with running water with guest rooms on two floors. The owner John, and is staff is very friendly and he goes out of his way to ensure you have as much local information as you require. He spent 20 minutes with me upon...

Casa Alebrijes turned my good trip to Guadalajara into a great trip. The city itself is a wonder. If you like to stroll and explore, this is a place for you. I've travelled a lot, and I don't think I've seen a city with so many lively and beautiful piazzas. The food is terrific, the people are welcoming, and the...

To be honest the guest house is close to the main attractions in GDL, also they take care about the clean matter, but the owner John is the nastiest and rudest person i ever met in my traveling life. he really don't care about his costumers, in fact i think he doesn't like mexicans at all, he gave me the...

CasaAlebrijesHotel, Owner at Casa Alebrijes Hotel, responded to this review

This guy stayed from Nov 17, 2012 to Nov 25, 2012 and did not stay in Nov 2013, one of his many false statements. I am shocked that he would write such a review seventeen months after his stay and I will not dignify it with a detailed response other than to state that there are no hidden camaras, the...

AREA: First off, don't be misled by the neighborhood. It's basically a printing/graphic design district that shuts down in the evening. However, the hotel is in a location where you can walk to so many things. I never once used a taxi except to/from the airport. I walked everywhere and once I took the Macrobus (only 7 pesos) to the...

I found this property a great place to stay in Guadalajara. It is located within easy walking distance to the central historic district. John is extremely helpful in familiarizing you with the neighborhood, where good restaurants and bars are, where you can get laundry done, where to catch the bus for areas further away. My room was very comfortable, and...
