Great hotel. Just came off a bad experience and this hotel and its staff where so courteous and amicable. I was able to book two rooms last minute on a very busy weekend. We stayed in a floor not yet renovated but I can still say it was a good room. Hot shower - clean bedding. They offered an extensive... More

Hotel bedrooms are dated and in need of a facelift, ultimately you get what you pay for. Location is great for the historic centre only a short walk and you are at the palace of fine arts. The best thing about the hotel is the staff they are brilliant, always someone available and always happy to help. Everyone always greeting... More

For the price in Mexico City, it is ok. The location is great; right in the heart of downtown. It is extremely crowded and popular with European tourists. The service is average and staff seem to be confused. However, they are generally very friendly.

This is my second time this year at Hotel Fontan Reforma and once again, my expectations were met with ease. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous and the location truly cannot be beat. You are steps away from the Hidalgo Metro station where you can take either line 2 or line 3 which can connect you to just about... More

My wife and I were touristing in Mexico city and we first booked at a terrible hotel near Plaza Garibaldi. It was more like a motel than a hotel in a dangerous neighborhood. We decided to move out that same night and we read about Hotel Fontan in TripAdvisor. It was a savior for us. What a NICE hotel to... More

This hotel is located next to the Reforma Ave. walking distance (1 block ) to the Hildago subway station, and the bus stop. the location is awesome, the facility is in good condition. I usually stay in a Hotel to sleep, so I dont require a Luxury Hotel, since I will be out the whole day. I only look for... More

We spend 2 nights in this hotel during our trip through Mexico. The check in was an endless story. After 1,5 hour which we spent on the reception we received a room which was occupied. We entered the room end the previous guests were there.... The whole hotel, and the rooms expecially smelled as urine. The bathroom was dirty. There... More

The location is great, very close to the metro or even walking distance to the Zocalo (about 30-40 mins). Very helpful staff, and the bell boys deserve a special mention. Breakfast is quite nice, decent wifi. However the standard rooms are not that nice, they remind me of an old concrete bunker or something. Also, it's very noisy as there... More

Loved our stay recently and would highly recommend! Staff was friendly and efficient! Enjoyed dinner on the 10th floor! Excellent food and great service! Fantastic breakfast included in price of the room for a small charge! Loved the whimsical bicycle theme throughout the hotel! Will definitely consider staying there again!

People working at the hotel were gracious and kind. Specially our waiter Augustin! He rocks! He gave us advice about sightseeing and getting around the city. Overall hotel accommodation were good, modern and stylish. It is a good value for the price!

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
