The location is great, the breakfast was quite good and the two Mexican girls were nice at the reception. The negatives: it was very cold all nights and the blanket they give you is not enough. If you choose this hostel bring long sleeves to sleep in. The hostel could be a bit cleaner or at least the dirty forgotten...

I changed hostel during my trip to Mexico city and Massiosare was my second place. And it was a great improvement compared to the previous hostel I was staying in. The location is great. Security is high, friendly staff. The facilities are very good with 2 kitchen and one being dedicated for vegetarian cooking. Great view of the city from...

we stayed in the 6 bed mixed dorm for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. We enjoyed the terrace space and the common room. The layout is very good to meet new people. The stairs were a good workout :)

I was apprehensive after the reviews I read but you absolutely get a good deal for the price you pay here. We had the private double and the bed was so comfy. We never waited for the toilet or shower which was the next toom over but it was low season and the hostel was quiet. The staff must be...

I stayed at this hostel with 2 friends for 3 nights in March 2015. The hostel is in an okay location. I'd say "sketchy", but I found most of Mexico City to be more on the "sketchy" side. The hostel is spacious and clean. The rooftop is a nice place to hang out with friends during the night. The free...

This is a strange and poorly managed hostel, and overall, I would NOT recommend it. It is in a sketchy part of town, and while it's across from the Police Museum, the streets surrounding it did not feel safe. It is located in a mostly industrial/commercial district with lots of electric and plumbing supply stores, so it feels desolate and...

I wasn't wowed by the hostel. The location was ok, the rooms were ok the service was ok. Everything was just ok. Things to note: The outdoor area upstairs is a really nice place to spend time. The bathrooms are pretty grotty, there aren't many of them and for 4/5 days of my trip there was no hand soap in...

Cons: - a bit tricky to find, only a few blocks from the metro. Look high in the wall for a small sign of their logo. - we stayed in the private double (pink room). It's a small room, with a double bed, and a small bedside table - only one power point, which is hanging out of the wall...

We met a lot of other travellers here - there are a few common areas including a rooftop terrace. The wifi was great as well, probably one of the fastest we have encountered so far. Alex was great as well, gave us lots of tips on what to see. Good location.

Overall we loved this hostel. The atmosphere was cool, the other guests were great, and the location was fantastic. And the roof top terrace was beautiful. It felt very safe, the wifi (mostly) worked great, and the staff was friendly. Having said that, there were a few negatives. As everyone else has said, the stairs were pretty daunting, especially at...

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
Alameda
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
