It is now nearly 20 years since my first stay at the hotel and it remains a good option. Notwithstanding other comparable options, this hotel has always stood out a bit, given the combination of location and value. Beng slightly on the edge of the central historical district does mean having to walk slightly further to town, but no matter... More

Have stayed here 4 times over the years and always find it welcoming and convenient. Nothing fancy, but clean, good service and decent amenities. The immediate neighborhood lacks charm (it's in the pump and electric motor district) but very close to the Alameda, Museo de Arte Populare, a handful of good, inexpensive restaurants and a block away from a Metro... Hotel Fleming is just off the Alameda park in mexico City...behind the Hilton.Five stories , run by Europeans...very clean , power showers , spacious restaurant with good simple internat food. For $60 double it is excellent value.

We received a call from the reception that someone had asked for us. When we picked up they had our name and said that they were the police doing an investigation on cartel members. They asked for personal information. Then since we were not giving the correct answers they identified themselves as Juarez cartel. They asked us to follow instructions... More

The hotel is in a great location, close to the downtown and close to subway and bus stations, yet unbelievably quiet. The restaurant was good for a quick meal or drink. The hotel staff was helpful. My only complaint - the pillows on the bed. They felt more like sandbags than pillows, hard as rocks. When I requested a softer... More

This is an update on a previous review I wrote for the Hotel Fleming. I've stayed at this place at least a couple times a year for the last 24 years. I've tried a few others but I still prefer this over any other. It's safe, clean, in a great location and the best price I've found in Mexico City.... More

I stayed one night at this hotel after arriving in Mexico City. As a solo travel the experience there highlighted to me the importance of hotel staff's manners. The lobby of the hotel was small and pleasant, the elevator quite small as were the rooms. It was acceptably clean, small but adequate size with a fairly comfortable bed. My room... More

My friend and I from Minneapolis MN spent 4 nights at the Fleming hotel, and will return based on the nice experience we had. The location is great only two blocks south of Alameda Central. The room and bathroom are very clean, beds are comfortable, the tv signal is not that good but well enough for us. If you book... More

The rooms are decent, beds comfortable and its clean. The TV reception is very poor in some rooms. The staff are not very friendly and don't smile much although they did solve any problems I had. The location is also quite poor for the main tourist attractions. Its at least a 20 minutes walk to the main square.

...but what I was missing at Trip Advisor were some photos from the clean bathroom, so I'll add some. We enjoyed six times to be there since autumn 2011 and stayed there for 2 or 3 days. The price-performance ratio is well, we felt safe, the stuff was friendly, we could relax in the accomodation and were close to all... More

Staying in Alameda

Neighbourhood Profile
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
