We loved the Pug and Seal and this is our second trip to Mexico City. Ambiance, Charm and a fantastic staff to boot. The location is wonderful as well. Slightly outside of the city center but that's what we wanted to do. Coyoacan is an amazing little place full of artisanal crafts and markets and enough to see in itself...

We have stayed in Mexico City several times and decided to try Coyoacan this visit as we wanted to be nearer to Frida Kahlo Casa Azul, Dolores Olmeda Museo and Diego's Anahuacalli museum. Pug Seal is the perfect hideaway to be near the centre but in a tranquil setting. The welcome is friendly and both Roberto and Israel look after...

I have visited Coyoacan several times to see friends. This was my first time at Pug Seal, on the recommendation of another friend who stayed here in November. Our family thought it was excellent. The 5 of us stayed in two rooms. Both were great, but the larger one was especially nice. Very comfortable beds, interesting decorations, excellent breakfast, nice...

Cannot say enough about this place. Elegant, chic, cool, wonderful-attentive-staff, funky, hip and great location. Nuff said! Check the pics on the site. It's all accurate. I'm a finicky New Yorker and American Airlines Million Mile traveler. Even I was blown away. Breakfast included, and free tequila, beer, sandwich snacks in the evening. How do they do it at this...

Spent three heavenly days at this amazingly wonderful boutique hotel. The rooms are so well planned and perfectly appointed. Clever and creative decor and amenities in the entire hotel. Comfort abounds. Very cool vibe in the hotel living room with a self serve tequila bar. Great music playing. Perfect for hanging out after a day of touring. Spotless rooms and...

We stayed 4 nights in Feb 2017. Perfect location in a beautiful part of Mexico DF, lovely room, and excellent service throughout our stay from helpful, friendly staff. We will definitely stay again and have no hesitation recommending this hotel. It was easy getting around DF from the hotel (walked to nearby Metro to travel downtown), but we were happy...

The Pug Seal website doesn't do the real experience justice. However, the 5-start reviews on Trip Advisor are there for all to see. I was asked to give feedback by the staff at the end of my visit and scored everything 5 out of 5 and couldn't suggest any improvements.

We stayed for three nights in February. We loved the location, staff, breakfast, and meeting the other guests. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They served a different Mexican breakfast every morning along with a wide selection of fresh fruit, delicious home made granola, and pastries. Every night they had some sandwiches, beer, and tequila. My wife is vegetarian...

In the beautiful suburb of Coyoacan with easy access to the Metro, this is a perfect place to explore the city. The hotel location is in a superb district with access to museums, galleries, plazas and restaurants. The hotel itself is superb with great service on arrival and throughout the stay. You can't ask for more than the cook knocking...

Just returned from 4 night stay and absolutely loved Pug Seal. We started our trip by being picked up atbthe airport. The driver was waiting right at baggage claim and couldn't have been any nicer. The same holds true for all the staff with Diego being exceptionally nice. The hotel gave ua a free upgrade and left a birthday cake...

Staying in Coyoacan

Neighbourhood Profile
Coyoacan
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
