I came to this hotel at my mom's insistence and while I was a little cautious because it didn't have a lot of reviews, I left gladly surprised. It's basically a motel and you pay every night (25dls or less when I was there). The rooms are quite big for a hotel in the downtown area and are pretty cold... More

Like most hotels in Mexico City, Hotel Pal suffers from a staff little interested in universal standards of courtesy, politeness or taking responsibility when things go wrong. Their 2 A.M. in the morning hammering might bother you but it does not seem to bother them in the least. When you finally go downstairs to complain (they do not answer phones)... More

I asked my Mexican boyfriend to find me a cheap but clean hotel in Mexico City (since I couldn't stay at his parents' place) and I he did a good job :-) You can walk to the historical center in about 15 minutes or grab a taxi towards the Chapultepec parc with all the museums. The rooms were cleaned on... More

Stayed one night en route to Mexico City airport. The room was very uncomfortable. The bed was hard and had a stiff plastic covering over the mattress. As the room was already stuffy from limited air it made the bed uncomfortably hot and humid. There was very little light in the room. It would not be feasible to read except... More

My father had recommended this hotel for it's convenient location to the Metro Station Balderas, shopping and reasonable price. The only downside is that the rooms on the upper floors vibrate slightly when the subway passes by. The ladies at the front desk do not speak English, however there are a couple of gentlemen that work in the restuarant that... More

I find it hard to believe they can charge such a low price (I paid 350 pesos) for the level of quality they provide. The room was well furnished with a king bed. The bathroom was large, with plenty of large, plush towels, shampoos, soaps, lotion, etc. First hotel I have seen with a bidet at this price. Also 2... More

We chose the Hotel Pal on the basis of its central location near Metro Station Balderas where Lineas 1 and 3 cross. The other attraction was price. When I saw the modest rates for rooms and suites on the Hotel Pal website, I was nearly incredulous; rooms for one or two persons, with king bed, $350 pesos; rooms for two... More

It is a very nice and modern hotel. The room was wide, modern, cozy and had an impressive bath. In general everything was very clean and tidy. It has several services as free wireless Internet in all the rooms and a very big underground parking. The service of the restaurant was a bit slow but the food was of very... More
