Los Pilares is about 15 minutes from the Zocalo, but it is worth the walk. The hotel is a lovely old building with courtyard bar and rooftop patio with restaurant and pool. We had drinks at the bar and ate breakfast in the restaurant and found both very good. Our room was on the first floor - on the courtyard,... More

Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after midnight. This was no problem though as the front desk staff checked us in quickly and gave us detailed directions on how to walk to a restaurant that was still open. The hotel is in an older building, but it is beautifully maintained. I think there are about 20 rooms. We were... More

We didn't stay at the hotel but came to eat breakfast at Restaurante Miel y Canela as we are staying in a place nearby. The food was delicious but my portion was so small that I left still hungry. I ordered the avena (oatmeal) with red fruits. It came in a very shallow bowl that you might expect for a... More

We enjoyed staying at Los Pilares, our home in Oaxaca! We had two rooms across the first floor courtyard and both were very comfortable and clean. The terrace upstairs is a huge asset for meals in the open air. Management and staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is a short walk from the city center and we enjoyed our... More

The hotel is very beautiful, being in a restored colonial building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The warm water had some problem, and was not always hot - that was the only downside. The distance to the center is really ok (~10 min or less) during the day,but in the evening it gets a bit dark to walk,... More

This is a small boutique hotel, in a traditional colonial house, adapted to give a warm stay. Beautifully kept, perfectly restored. Rooms and the entire place are very clean. The staff makes you feel at home. Breakfast was delicious at the terraza restaurant, the waiter gave us great tips of places to visit around the city to get a real... More

Los Pilares offers an exceptionally friendly, welcoming staff, very nice rooms, beautiful public areas and a very good restaurant. We stayed for a week in a main floor room with one king bed. The bed was wide but too short for my 6'3" husband, and looked as if a queen size mattress had been turned sideways to better fit the... More

We arrived here late after a delayed flight. It was clean and comfortable and all the staff was helpful and hospitable. We had breakfast there the next morning that was tasty and headed on our way to Tlalixtac. We didn't get the opportunity to hang at the bar, but it looked lovely and well stocked. We would definitely stay here... More

Loved this little hotel 4 blocks from central. Walls hand painted. Have to pay for breakfast but it was inexpensive and the menu is adequate. Staff were helpful. It is a reasonable walk to the market and other attractions but staff will help with transport of required. Traffic can be a problem in Oaxaca so allow 30 - 40 minutes... More

Hotel "Los Pilares" is one of the best hotels, where I had a chance to stay. There was a great service, the staff was very hospital and attentative.
