We were exceedingly pleased with our stay at Casa Oaxaca. We stayed for 8 nights in a lovely suite. The staff was professional, friendly and very solicitous. By the time we left we felt right at home and the staff felt like family. Their gourmet breakfasts were more than generous, delicious and beautifully served. Everyday a different sweet bread was...

We stayed in the owner's room which they called room 9 which was delightful very large and has lots of light with large windows in both sides of the room. In addition it is has a small tv room and 2 bathrooms. If it is available it is a real winner The breakfasts were the best of the trip and...

The perfect way to end our two weeks in Oaxaca. Outstanding food and environment. Always fun to actually see a chef at the restaurant. My one call out would be that the service was a bit too hovering and quick to pull dishes and glasses that we weren't finished with. Also would like a course cleared at one time, rather...

This place had it all: location, architecture, charm, hospitality and intimacy: only nine rooms. There is a bar, restaurant and pool on property too. Casa Oaxaca is just down the street from the boyhood home of Mexico's five-term term president, Benito Juarez. It's an easy walk to the City's plaza and Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral. Oaxaca City is...

Sometimes a hotel is so good, you just don't know where to start, and Casa Oaxaca makes the list. Reception was smooth, casual, and always friendly with lots of great recommendations. Job & Carlos were always helpful and arranged reservations, taxis, really anything we needed, always with a smile too. I was lucky enough to stay in two different rooms...

This is another part of a big variety of Boutique hotels in Oaxaca. This one is serene, beautiful and quiet, although it is in the middle of the center in a very busy street. The building is a typical historic building you can find all over the center. It is restored very carefully and well decorated by plants all over. The...

While a bit more pricey than other options (cost us about $100 USD for dinner for two including drinks and desert) Casa Oaxaca is certainly worth a visit. The tuna tostadas are exceptional, and the waiters make fresh salsa to order right at the table. I had the ridiculously delicious lamb chops smothered in Oaxaca-style mole and I can't stop...

We had an incredible experience at Casa Oaxaca in so many ways. We were there during Dia de los Muertos and despite all the excitement going on around town, once you enter Casa Oaxaca it's serene, beautiful and quiet. We had the pleasure of doing a cooking experience (market and all day cooking) w Chef Alex and enjoyed every minute....

I really, really liked Casa Oaxaca despite the booking process being a bit cumbersome, going backward and forward over email to confirm a room. The back and forth continued up until our arrival, largely at my instigation, with the hotel's staff (special call-out to Carlos) being very helpful with booking restaurants and offering tour recommendations (I wanted to do a...

We had the foresight to book Casa Oaxaca 18 months in advance for our week long stay during Dia de los Muertos. I have never felt so warmly looked after from initial checking in, arrival cocktail, the magnificent breakfasts, assistance with making reservations and tours to our final goodbye of a 5am transfer to the airport complete with coffee and...
