Basic hostal, not very clean. Don't by tours from them, the guide made us pay double to enter the archaeological sites. We have to clean the bathroom before taking a shower and there was nothing to hang a sweater or a towel.

This hostel is perfect to meet people. They organize activities and give you good prices for. It's clean, the breakfast is fair for what you pay and you can feel the good vibe all around. Very well located as well. One of my best stays in Mexico.

I've stayed there for 3nights, it was cool, you can use the kitchen, the computer and also play pool. Nice terrace and breakfast really okay and for free. The staff is okay, not exceptional..but the "bad point" is that it wasn't really clean. But nice place anyway

This is one of the most wonderful places! The hospitality has been just wonderful! Suzanna, the owner of the hostal brings so much energy, fun and light to the hostal with her bubbly personality! On Christmas Eve all the guests had to make something to bring to supper, which created such a homey feel here! After the supper Suzanna decided...

This is the place to be in Oaxaca. When we first arrived they were all booked up, but Susanna helped us find another hostel for the night. We got to sleep in Cielo Rojo the night after that. The 10 people dorm faces a very busy road so don't book that if you're a light sleeper (although I am one,...

Cielo Rojo was good without being great. The location is great, and the main area was nice. Many of the beds had a few broken springs which stuck into you when trying to sleep. Breakfast was fine, toast, cereal, yogurt, tea and coffee.

We stayed in the 10 person dorm - although there were only 3 other people most of the time. The room was a good size, beds were decent. Had a couple of lockers in the room and a bathroom in the room, along with a small balcony. There were a few chill out areas which was nice (although couches/pool tablr...

We stayed in a four person dorm. This place has basic dorms, nice common area with a kitchen. A few minutes from the center of the city and some great coffee shops. It's a solid option for budget travelers.

We stayed in the hostel's only private room. It was nice and large, with a reasonably comfortable bed, two tables, a lamp and a dresser. Location was great and easy walking distance from just about everything we wanted to do in the city. All the rooms face the courtyard and there are sometimes people drinking or playing music later at...

Not too loud or too quiet. The beds weren't the best but the hostel was clean. Breakfast was basic but good. There is also a nice roof terrace. I also did the Mezcal tour while i was there, which is organized through the hostel.
