This boutique hotel is three blocks of the main Andador and Convento de Santo Domingo. Small hotel in a great property. Nice breakfast restaurant with a beautiful Convento view, and a 360 view terrace as well. Rooms are small but comfortable. Main office personnel is always helpful. They even helped us book a great guided taxi trip to nearby towns.... More

The hotel is in an older building, beautifully kept and comfortable. The room (20) was charming, with a large armoire, desk and chair. French doors opened to a view of the mountains which, coupled with the bougainvillea and plants around a courtyard, helped make this a very peaceful and cozy place. Theres a patio for breakfast (and I think dinner).... More

Within the confines of a fascinating historical building, Casa Sotano does a great job. We particularly appreciated the level of service in the cafe, and the breakfast service was good also. We had a ground level room which was a little airless at times, but it wasn't a problem. There are some narrow staircases to negotiate for some of the... More

very cozy place, the price is worth it. We used to walk to main plaza or zócalo. They offer nice and cheap tours. Clean bed & room. Restaurant, try chilaquiles in the morning ;) Also have a nice and quite garden

Lovely Inn keepers that try their best to make your stay wonderful. Everything was kept exceptionally clean and pretty including beautifully crafted toilet paper flowers and swan folded towels. They helped in all ways possible although very limited English. It's best to know some Spanish or you may have some difficulty although one of the people that works there knows... More

Had a lovely time at casa De Sotana! Quaint and peaceful. It is a few blocks away from the hustle bustle of the zocalo but a nice walk through town. Loved the terrace restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful! Can't beat it for the price!

Quite a lovely surprise. We found it on the internet. Traditional, beautiful & quiet. You enter a magical courtyard with trees, flowers & little fountains. We stayed in room 15 & 16. I would stay in one of these again bcz we liked that we could open the doors to the courtyard & sleep with them open for fresh air... More

My husband and I found Hotel Casa del Sotano to be a very enjoyable place to stay. The room was not large but definitely sufficient. There were a few things we could have wished for: a coffee maker in the room, more outlets to charge computers, phones, etc. and a nightstand and lamp on my side of the bed. But... More

My husband and I stayed for two weeks and were pleasantly surprised. for the value, we got what we paid for. A clean, small room, attended to daily two of the hardest working people at the hotel. TThe cook and waiter from the cafe downstairs, also clean the rooms. They work a very long day to make us comfortable. Room... More

We were in Room number 19. At the easternmost end of the hotel, so as far away from the busy, noisy street of Tinoco & Palacios as possible. Prices are negotiable.... The bedroom was small, but adequate; the bathroom was miniscule, but blessed with instant, inexhaustible hot water. The room was cold at night in January. The wardrobe was large.... More
