Considering the price it isn't a bad little hotel at all. The worse thing are definitely the rooms, we booked a twin and it was very shabby. The shower was a tiny high-pressure jet of water which was painful to stand in and the floor was constantly wet due to an inability to drain properly. No plug for the bath...

The Clipper Club proved to be clean and dry. It was a stop-over for us on our way to Playa Del Carmen, and although close to the "action", we found ourselves way too old for the nightlife (we're in our mid-40's). The hotel is adequate. We stayed in a suite on the third floor of what appeared to be condominium/townhouse...

We just returned from the Yucatan last week. We stayed here for one night before we headed off for Tulum, Merida and then Playa Del Carmen. This place worked out perfectly for us. It was little tough to find because we were driving in the dark when we arrived and there wasn't much signage. But, we managed to find it...

This hotel is basically a dump. It's not just that the hotel rooms need updating, it was dirty. The floor drains in the bathroom do indeed smell like poop, which fills the bathroom. The only plus is the location, it is near a lot of clubs and restaurants. We stayed a week at an all inclusive in the Rivera Maya...

I sent the following letter to Best Western after a terrible stay at the clipper club. December 18, 2006 Gentlemen; A month ago it was our misfortune to spend time at your Cancun Clipper Club while on a business trip to Cancun. My two office colleagues and myself could not believe this is a Best Western hotel. Our company almost...

I believe we as owners, are more willing to overlook some of the things that others expect near perfection for their vacation dollars. There are little bugs in the kitchen and bathrooms of most anywhere you go in Mexico. First timers don't know that! They don't eat much, and I have left food out and has never been bothered by...

we stayed in a so called suite. it was just two rooms together. it had bugs and the toilet had trouble flushing. i would recommend bringing an extra pillow since they only provide one per person. the staff was really friendly and its a great place to stay if your going to be just using the place to sleep. the...

Despite all the reviews I would recommend this hotel for the single traveller or a group of people. Yes it is basic and not all inclusive but its location is great if you are into partying and really just want a clean comfortable room. I could find no problems with this hotel it was cheap, clean and comfortable.

My wife, daughter, and her boyfirend stayed at the hotel in mid-august. The rooms were clean, the maids were great. We tipped a little, and left choclate for them. Extra water, towels; whatever, the universal bribe. Plenty of resturants and bars within walking distance, as well as the beach. Free towels with card for the beach. Food at the resturant was...

This was the WORST place ever. My family - 2 kids and husband, stayed for 1 week at this hotel. First off, the suite, mostly the kitchen, was COVERED in little bugs, though there was no food there - it was SO gross. They used bad water in the pina colada's, as a result my husband and 2 kids contracted...
