Four years ago Mundo Joven was a basic but a nice and clean place to stay. Now I was surprised it turned into a lousy and dirty place. Yes, the rates are low, but that must not include a dirty room! Everything is old and broken. It seems nobody cares about it, so the place reprobates. Very sad!

The hostel staff were very friendly, and helped us out with a few recommendations for cheap food and transport. The private room was ok, but could have been cleaner. Atmosphere was a bit dead when we stayed (Sat and Sun)

This place is great if you're backpacking Mexico! The rooftop patio is awesome and complete with a jacuzzi! Friendly staff. I enjoyed the location, away from the zona hotelera (which you easily reach by bus that stop around the corner). I'd stay there again!

Large Room and clean, really good sleep, air condition is perfect by night. Service is wonderful at the reception & at the bar on the roof. Provide help and nice advices. Really close to the ADO Autobus station (going to Tulum is super easy by bus), from the Supermercador and other useful shops. Some really good food close by. Nice... More

The room for 2 with shower was great! Comfortable bed, clean, big bathroom, hangers for clothes and towels, couch and TV. Suite was really spacious. Next two nights we spent in a suite with jacuzzi. It was good too, but seemed smaller after spending a night in the previous room. Lack of an elevator was a little uncomfortable, especially with... More

We needed a convenient place to stay near the bus station before an early flight. This was about as good a place possible for that. Location is about 1-2 minutes walk to bus station on main road. Near shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Staff were great, printed out our flight tickets and booked us a taxi which was very nice of... More

We booked a double private room for two but on arrival was told the air conditioning was broken in that room. We were offered a 10 bed dorm for our exclusive use or they would find us alternative accommodation. Not ideal but workable. We had booked this hostel to be close to the bus station. No single sheets available, we... More

This place would have been beautiful when it was first built, the owners need to spend some money on maintenance and repair all !!!! the things that are broken, The kitchen is way to small with the stove and fridge needing a very good clean as do other parts of the hostel. The 12 bed dorm that I was in... More

I planned to stay in that hostel but I didnt make a reservation so on a date of our arrival all private rooms were full. We just make a tour of the dorms (looked clean and not to crowded, with a bathroom in each one room), but than we decided to find a private room somewhere else. Next time I... More
