This was our first time in Cancun, and we were thrilled! The location is great for taking the bus into downtown or out for water activities at Aquaworld. The shopping mall across the street is fabulous. The beach is simply fantastic - clean, convenient, easily accessible. The staff is first rate- friendly, helpful, truly interested in your satisfaction. It would...

I stayed for 3 nights at the Park Royal Hotel and could not have had a better experience. We upgraded our room to one of the Presidential Suites, hoping to have an "Ocean View", but at check-in non were available. We were given a Lagoon View instead, at first we were a little disappointed, but it turned out to be...

I can say nothing bad about the resort. The staff was amazing, always ready to serve as well as always cleaning, cleaning , cleaning!! Probably best to treat yourself and go out to dinner. All other meals were pretty good, but dinner would be better elsewhere. Not much left of the beach, years ago the sea was calm, now I...

I just returned from the Park Royal Cancun this past Sunday, January 5, 2009. Initally I was a bit leary about booking based on some of the reviews I had read. I am glad I didn't let those reviews stop me from booking at the Park Royal. In general the hotel is a solid 3.5 star. The grounds are extremely...

This was the worst hotel stay my family has ever had. The front desk staff are very rude, if you are not of mexican nationalilty. They cater to the Mexican tourists. The pool closes at 7pm so the children have nothing to do unless they understand and speak spanish to participate in the childrens activities. The food gets very tiresome...

We received star treatment at the Park Royal. The food was exceptional, service was outstanding, and the resort was very clean. We went to the Cancun Palace for a "vacation membership" pitch, and spent the day. We found the food and service at the Park Royal far superior to the higher end resort. A great value for our money, we...

We just got back from the Park Royal Cancun and I can say we had a good time. As was mentioned in another review, one of the pools was closed down for the majority of our stay. That was unfortunate, but maintenance has to be done some time. It is good to know they take care of the place. We...

I was a little afraid to stay here after reading some of the terrible reviews. The hotel is NOT terrible, just average. It is clean, clean, clean! There is not a speck of dirt anywhere. Rooms are average, very little decor. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit that is great for families. It had 2 double beds in one...

“This was the worse experience of my travel history. I have travelled extensively. Sophia was the worse person to deal with. It was so bad that I checked out of the hotel and went to the Westin. The next day manager Jose was no better. If he could not accommodate he could have been more kind. He did not show any customer service, graciousness or concern for me as a customer. I've been a manager and that is not how you treat irate CustomerS. I email d and spoke with the report to insure my stay would not be filled with upgrades, and insufficient accommodations. When I arrived I received a room that was opposite of my request, no ocenview even though I paid for an uograde. Sophia was less than nice, she blew me off and told me to call in the am. My room had two double beds, my wife and I have been married for 24 years, we've never had to sleep in double beds. This was the worse travel experience but in my life. I'm concerned that Royal Holiday has become so large that people don't matter anymote. The sheer disregard for a person like me that spent countless hours trying to insure that my travel is cperience was excellent. I was let down with no compensation or correction of the problem. Not to mention that when I arrived the lights in my room did not work. I'm appalled that I was handled in this manner. I'm not sure where this organization is going but down would be the dire tiom that I see. ”
