This review is mostly nothing to do with the stay at the hotel, but scamming tourists to buy Chichen Itza tickets at twice the price on highway 180. Here is what happened. We were a group of 8 driving in minivan from Cancun to Chichen Itza on highway 180. When we were 50 miles away from the destination, we saw...

I had posted a previews response asking you to kindly give more information, one I just deleted for I have spoken to our sales representatives and you were charged for not only entrance tickets (at cost, as this is a service we provide complete free of handling charges, for our clients convenience) but for all you care to eat buffet...

Along the same lines as some of the more critical voices here - just a great pity that the hotel does not take the points to heart but rather seem somewhat rude to the people who have spent time coming up with constructive criticism. Shame on you Mayaland... The hotel IS outdated. Don't say you have wifi if you don't...

I am sorry if you have not read my many responses to the fact that the Wi Fi offered is THE BEST our legacy (and all others..) are capable of providing in Chichen Itza. We have spend tenths of thousands of dollars in equipment to enhance the strength of their signal... to little avail. The service is free to our...

It's a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are big (we stayed in the main building with a balcony over looking the observatory at Chechen Itza - best seen from our full window in the bathroom!). Nothing is included and it's not cheap. You are in a tourist trap. But the gardens are lovely and the pools nice. Nice to...

Come back with more time to enjoy the many wonders that surround us. Thanks for visiting The Mayaland. Hasta la vista !

Our first view of 'Mayaland' was a bit off-putting as workmen were doing something at the front and dust was blowing across, but as soon as you walk inside the house you realise it is a lovely part of the property. You then turn around and see the observatory framed in the doorway and you realise how close you are...

Location: Excellent to the archaeological site (2 min. to the ticket booth) Reception staff: Friendly but often not able to help. Room interior: Average However stained glass windows did let strangers look direct in to the room Room indoor climate: Definitely not OK. Many old wooden “louvres” leaked very badly, and let large amount of warm and humid air in...

This was place was perfect for us! It is 150% worth it if your looking for a secluded quiet resort in the middle of the Mayan Jungle, this is the place. It met all my needs, Clean, great food, quiet, 3 pools, secure, amazing staff, and gave us a real experience of the ruins. Since we wanted to be able...

I stayed here for one night while in Mexico so that I could visit the ruins. The property is absolutely stunning. I stayed in a room with a view of the observatory. the room was enormous and had a great balcony, the bed was not the most comfortable but was not uncomfortable. I did not dine at the hotel, opting...

The hotel is big and there are lots of vegetations, with ponds and trees and gardens. The bungalows are decent, but there is no wifi appart near the hotel reception. There are multiple pools, which are surrounded by transats. There is a spa and bars at which you can enjoy refreshments. The restaurant is good, slightly overpriced but it's reasonable....

We are saddened by the poor grade you have given us... We try very hard, and WiFi is one element totally out of our control. The service is provided by legacy carriers and it is poor. We have invested tens of thousands of dollars to have the best possible signal... and we provided for free. Hopefully you'll visit us again...

This hotel is directly adjacent to the ruins - all you need to do is walk 50 feet!. The hotel is outstanding in every way, from service, to tours available, to restaurant food and quality, to perfectly designed and furnished rooms. Fabulous. It is a five star resort in every way. Everyone at Mayaland has total focus on the guest...

Courtyards ripe with beautiful flowers, vines, bamboo, and amazing trees! I saw a peacock and several HUGE koi fish in the pond. The pool is state-of-the-art. The buffets are wonderful! You can't stay much closer to the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. This hotel has had guests ranging from Jackie Kennedy to Grace Kelly! A place rich with history.
