This B&B is a exquisitely managed and maintained; low-key and private atmosphere; with a professional staff that is always helpful and courteous. The historic building and internal open-air patios have been lovingly restored. Our room on the second floor was spacious and immaculate, with no frills but lots of charm, and a wonderful view overlooking the back patio. This patio...

There is something wonderful about a room with beautiful, cool tile floors, high ceilings and little distractions. Arriving at Medio Mundo, after a long trip and a near bad stay at another hotel in Merida which was noisy and fussy, was a breath of fresh air and immediate relaxation. The owner showed us to our room and chatted for a few...

This place is awesome. It's a 5 minutes walk - easy, safe, casual - to the central square, and not much longer walk to Paseo de Montejo, a wide boulevard with sights to see and great museums. In fact, we walked all over this lovely city from MedioMundo. The breakfasts are sort of continental plus on steroids, with excellent fresh...

We spent four nights at this lovely, small and friendly oasis in Merida.. It's well located and an easy walk to all the main sites. The colorful decor pleases the senses and the beds were some of the most comfortable we've ever found away from home. We started each day wiht a reat breakfast, served poolside, and cooled down every...

This wonderful hotel is exactly what we were looking for: no TV, near the Grand Plaza but not so close you hear all the noise, and bright beautiful decor. You can really get away from everything at home that makes you crazy. The incredible staff were very gracious and scheduled our day excursions (even once on one hour's notice). We...

The owners and staff made this hotel a wonderful refuge from the City. Merida is a nice city, but the quiet court yards and pool brought welcome relaxation away from the city's noise and traffic. The court yards have lush plantings and are brightly colored in Mexico tradition. The healthy courtyard breakfast was a nice start to every day and...

I stayed at Hotel MedioMundo with my husband and son for seven nights, and we had a wonderful time. I could not recommend this hotel more! We found it to be a very tranquil oasis just a short walk from the center of busy Merida, and loved waking up to our fantastic al fresco breakfast every morning, or playing cards...

When I first got to Merida, I was a little peeved that the Medio Mundo wasn't slightly closer to the city's main square. But, over the days I spent there, I found that the relaxed, slow pace at the B&B was amplified by its relative distance. The terrace with its pool is beautiful and although the breakfast was no frills...

There appear to be many attractive lodgings in Mérida, but when we return, we will stay again at Hotel Medio Mundo. The location is convenient to the center of town. The owners and staff are delightful, helpful, and friendly. Every morning a tasty and healthy breakfast is served around the patio pool. The charming atmosphere in this bed and breakfast...

From the first greating to the final wave goodbye we were treated with warmth and friendlyness. The word helpful does the staff an injustice, they were always looking to assist you and make your visit to Merida a little better. From restaurant recommendations to shopping tips, a little philosophy from Nelson, and the charm of Henry, a delightful stay in...
