I stayed at Villa Verde in February 2015. The property is beautiful - colonial style building with 20 foot ceilings in the room. The rooms are very well appointed and stylishly finished. Robert and Michael were very welcoming and incredibly helpful with local recommendations. And the dogs and cats are great!

This was our second stay at Villa Verde and again, Robert and Michael were the perfect hosts. Always there to answer questions or give directions, they also offer all the privacy one could want. The staff is friendly and efficient and the place is immaculate. We stayed in spacious room #2, same as last year, and love the super tall...

We made Villa Verde our headquarters for exploring the Yucatan, and it was the perfect choice. Centrally located in Merida's old town, it was our own private villa - at least for a few days. Robert and Michael made sure everything was perfect from the delicious and beautifully presented breakfast to cocktail hour and beyond. We were well cared for,...

You arrive at a Villa Verde and you are immediately greeted by Michael and Robert and their three sweet dogs and a cat. You immediately feel as if you have arrived in a magical land. What you see is what you get...and then more. I have traveled to many places and this is one of my most favorite...I shall return...

So your car drops you off and you think, OMG this doesn't look like the place I saw on the internet. Then the doors open and you are welcomed by Michael and Robert, 3 adorable dogs and a cat and behind them is exactly what you see on the internet. Beautiful, CLEAN, contemporary, welcoming, together, beautifully decorated, trees inside the...

In this case, you certainly can't judge a book by its cover! Villa Verde is set dead center on a side street that you might consider "abandoned" and identified only by magnificent wooden doors and 2 potted trees. The surprise is once you enter when you get an immediate sense of serenity. The 5 guest rooms, which are all tastefully...

I recently spent 6 nights at the Villa. My group of 6 ladies booked the villa for the week and planned day trips around the area. Our hosts Robert and Michael were most gracious and generous with their time throughout the week. Each morning we enjoyed breakfast out on the patio overlooking the pool. Coffee and tea service is set...

Like many homes and guest houses in Merida, from the street you really can't tell what's behind those tall walls and huge doors. Upon entering Villa Verde your breath will be taken away! Truly, a spectacular view looking into an interior garden surrounded by white pillars and beautiful tiled floors. Rooms are super comfortable (nice firm bed) and quite with...

The place is gorgeous, the hosts are beyond gracious, the rooms are beautiful, tranquil and quiet, the breakfasts are fabulous and the happy hour is indeed happy. You could spend hours just relaxing on the beautiful columned veranda or by the pool. Really, there's only one place to stay in Merida, and it's Villa Verde. If you are lucky to...

The resident owners Robert and Michael have thought of every detail to make this an incredibly beautiful and comfortable place to stay. Where do I start? Well, first, when we return to Merida, we will plan our trip on the availability of staying at Villa Verde. The warm welcome, the extremely comfortable bed with good linens, the spacious, tastefully decorated...
