We booked this B&B for a one night stay in Merida before flying back to Mexico City. As we were driving from Playa del Carmen, Ellyne asked what time we were arriving. We informed her, but unfortunately, we were delayed in traffic for a few hours, so we updated her. When we did get to Merida, Ellyne was waiting for...

If unfamiliar with Merida, the location of this B and B can be intimidating. Area looks like a combination of Canarsie and Dogpatch. Once inside the building one finds a lovely,well-decorated, courtyard with four casitas, and swimming pool. Breakfast is above average. However!!!! I had booked on TripAdvisor, presented my credit card information, and was then told by the owner...

This is a B and B in the classic sense. In the mornings expect to be part of lively conversation around a large table set for breakfast with generous servings of fruit and Yucatecan specialties and bottomless cups of the most delicious coffee I had in our entire month of travel. Cascades is as lovely as in the pictures and...

Cascadas has everything you want in the B and B plus more (and its always the extras that count!) Lovely room with interesting water features, great location, and a wonderful host who was extremely helpful. Rooms are pristine, beds are comfortable, staff were nice and efficient, and the breakfast was great and featured local products. Highly recommended!

We stayed in this lovely B and B for six nights, and will reiterate all the positives others have written. The rooms are large and lovely---and all are around a beautifully landscaped deck, and the pool. The B and B is in a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Plaza Grande, Santa Lucia square, lots of good restaurants,...

What a wonderful find Cascadas de Merida was! We spent 3 night here in late January. Ellyne and Chucho were welcoming and knowledgeable hosts, full of hints about what to see and do. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, with different dishes every day, and the opportunity to sit and talk with Ellyne and Chucho's about their backgrounds and the...

5 friends from 3 different parts of the US met in Merida for 4 days at the Cascadas de Merida before setting off on two weeks of exploring several of the little known and little explored Mayan sites in Northern Yucatan. From the time we arrived until the time we left we found Ellyne and Chucho and their staff to...

Cascadas de Merida is our first choice for our Merida home away from home. We stayed here 2 years ago and again this past New Years. Ellyne and Chucho are welcoming gracious and very helpful. We wanted to duplicate repeat our previous NYE dinner experience at a local restaurant and Ellyne went out of her way to make that happen...

I stayed with my husband and two teenage daughters at Cascadas de Merida for seven days over Christmas 2016. We had chosen Merida as our home base for the week, and found that this was an excellent decision! During our stay, we explored Merida itself, and took easy day trips using public transit and through organized tours. We went to...

I don’t even know where to start this review as words cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay at Cascadas de Merida! Please do not look any further. This is by far one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had! The B&B has an excellent location (in the historic centre, but on a quiet street), it is...
