Hotel Julamis is a charming, comfortable and stylish boutique hotel in the Centro Historico. The owner, Alex, is friendly and very attentive to his guests. We really appreciated his knowledge of the city and his willingness to help with logistics and trip planning. He also makes amazing homemade croissants for the wonderful daily breakfast!

A wonderful stay in Merida; Hotel Julamis is easy walking distance to everything that you need. Follow Alex's recommendations on where to eat and what to do. The room was spacious and the fridge topped up with fresh water and cerveza daily and the breakfasts were delicious, we are already missing homemade croissants! Would highly recommend if visiting this beautiful...

This was our first trip to Merida and made to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We could not have chosen a better hotel. The facility was historic and very comfortable. We're sure there were other hotels in Merida which are historic but what made Hotel Julamis extraordinary was Alex, the owner/chef. He went out of his way to make us feel...

This beautifully renovated historic building - now hotel - has wonderful Yucatan charm with a Swiss touch. We stayed in a large two bedroom with great firm beds, a small fridge stocked with beverages and a large bathroom. Our 3 day stay was enhanced by Chef Alex's three course breakfast....and knowledge of Merida. We were totally charmed by his fatherly...

Proprietor Alex takes the superbly located hotel up another level. This boutique hotel is a real gem. Clean, comfortable, very reasonably priced but only a five minute walk from the centre of Merida, it has endured in my memory as a favourite place to stay.

Ned Grimley (my brother) pretty well covered it in his review. This place is a real find, away from the hustle but close enough to be convenient in every way. Alex is a fabulous host and first-rate chef who made our stay extra special. Be sure to read Ned's review and definitely give Alex and Julamis a try on your...

This hotel is a gem! We really enjoyed the conversation and hospitality, and are very grateful for the helpful travel information and all of the thoughtful touches during our stay. This hotel is beautifully decorated and there is a lovely courtyard where we enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts prepared by Chef Alex. What a way to start the day – homemade...

Wow! How do you say enough about a place beyond WOW !?? We joined my sister and her husband on this trip and they suggested Julamis as where they had already booked their room. We were a little concerned, due to the size, that they might not have space. We were excited to book the Tekit room for four days...

Perfect ubication and convenient installations. Chef Alex does a great Job altogether with his charming wife Mary. Nice conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. Close to historic downtown most relevant buildings. Old school gastronomy. Solid option when visiting Merida.

We stayed in the Tekit room with AC, ceiling fan, and king size bed. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Lovely breakfast included. Great little plunge pool on the roof deck too. The hotelier, Alex, gave us helpful sightseeing info and entertained us with stories about Mexico expat living. Would stay again.
