Good food, good service, nice bars, and friendly environment. My thanks to Katrina, Paseo(always smiling), GLADIS, Felix, the day Barman in the front lobby, and Victoria who makes great omlets. I recommend that the front desk carry small bills to make change so that it is easy to give tips.

My only negative comment is that I paid for two Superior Premium rooms to find that the rooms were all the same except the time share had the nice rooms with the best views and locations. The rooms were fine but when you pay extra for the top rooms and get the standard room it's disappointing.

The beach is beautiful. The service is great. The rooms and food are mediocre. Our original room had a number of problems (water was coming in through the ceiling in the shower), but once we brought them up with the front desk staff, they switched us to a different room immediately. Overall we had a nice and relaxing time.

Even nicer than we remembered, The Reef did not disappoint when we brought some extended family with us. Food was delicious (Mexican is my favourite), weather, beach, pool, grounds and room were great. Staff was simply lovely. Loved being able to walk to Playa Del Carmen.

Pleasant stay - the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and had a nice variety. They had soup! And usually two types of soup; I love soup. The beach was clean and the swimming was great. Very few hawkers and the few that did come by were very polite. Took in a great dance show one...

The only good thing about this resort was the location and beach. Unfortunately, we had to book here last minute, as the hotel we originally choose to stay at was located too close to the music festival for our preference. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room, prior to having a representative try to talk us into listening to their...

This was my third visit to Playa Car and I have to say it was a huge disappointment. The Reef Playa Car resort could be so much better without Grayline and reservhotel.com. If you are looking to stay here avoid them if you can. We booked our trip 7 months in advance because they were running an offer on their...

Wonderful place, but poor quality paper towel and the pool is not Warm. Also, the food is only good. The rest of the property is fantastic. Nice green areas and it is a very rrlaxing place. I wanted come back but i will carry my own paper towel.

Our stay was nice and we had no troubles. Only one thing I would like to point out: the knowledge of the English language by some operators is sometimes poor and this is not good when a problem arises. This is what we experienced. At any rate they were minor issues.

Went there to celebrate my birthday with my twin sister. Soon as we walked in we was offered a glass of champagne. Only thing I was upset about was check in, room was not ready when we arrived. Otherwise I had an amazing stay! Staff was very attentive and nice. Also a beautiful resort, thank you!
