Another hotel we originally planned on statying 3 nights but left a day early. AC is very poor, beds are horrible, pool had many insects in it. Toilet seat positioned so a man has to sit sideways on toilet to avoid hitting wall with knees. Made reservation through Expedia but was told they never received payment. Restaurant was excellent though.

There was a little reservation when our guide said that this hotel was 7kms from the beach. It isn't that far. There is also a bike rental place next door so it makes it easy. The hotel is a 10 min walk from Tulum town centre which isn't huge. Blink and you'll miss it. It's a standard build, happy colours... More

There was no hot water despite the website advertising it. The shower also had no water pressure and was just a dribble. There were bugs in the purified water refill stations provided by the hotel. The drinks at the restaurant/bar were also pretty bad.

Stayed here for two nights and it was ok. The beds were decent which is a big thing in this area. The rooms were ok fairly clean although the bathrooms were very old. They have a pool which is nice as well. The location is ok you are about a 10-15 minute walk from the Main Street and there are... More

Villa Tulum is an average hotel located in the city part of Tulum. The location is ideal being on the road to the beach but only a few minutes walk to Tulum town centre. The property is pleasant with spacious rooms, decent air conditioning and sporadic hot water. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was surprisingly tasty. Recommend hiring... More

We spent just one night in Villa Tulum, having booked a reservation sight-unseen via internet. It wasn't the easiest place to find (we asked several locals, including police) where the street -- Avenida Cobá Sur -- is located, but no one knew. Actually, it's the very busy street -- THE main thoroughfare -- leading into the city's main tourist zone... More

Villa Tulum Nice hotel and not much more $ than some of the hostels around Tulum. There’s not many people staying here so they lowered the price. Large rooms with ac and a nice little swimming pool behind the friendly El Capitan Restaurant. Dependable fast wifi in the room. Walking distance to town. Good value for Tulum where prices are... Comfortable hotel 5 minute walk from main strip and short inexpensive taxi ride to Mayan ruins. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, with safe and air conditioning. There is a nice outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers. The Captains Table restaurant serves good reasonable priced food and has a happy hour each day. Would recommend.

The facilities at the hotel include a nice swimming pool, working Wifi, pool table and onsite bar and restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient and the service is very quick. Fish is on the menu here and is cooked perfectly but watch out for a lot of garlic if you order garlic! It is possible to walk to the Tulum... More
