When our family voted on staying in the jungle east of Tulúm rather than in the hotel zone or downtown, we had no idea we'd made the best decision of our traveler-lives. While the hotel zone and town were drenched with stylish white yuppies and a million selfie sticks, La Selva

No words for such an amazing review. We are finalizing our high season, a little bit tired of many working days but to read comments like this make us really proud of all the effort that the hole team made day by day. Thank you Jeff, Christine and Juan for spending time with us, for that amazing new year's dinner and for your friendship. Hope to see you again! Best regards from paradise. Your friend Juan and the hole LSM crew.

La Selva Mariposa is a perfect destination to get away from it all. Set in a jungle not far from a small town, it's relaxing being surrounded by nature. The small private pools are a nice touch. Claudio and his staff do a wonderful job with breakfast every morning. He makes

Be prepared for an relaxing and peaceful getaway! This hotel was everything we could have imagined, so relaxing and quiet. Staying in the jungle is a must for anyone who has not done so yet in their lifetime. Expect to be about a 15 minute cab ride away from the main strip of

We're a young couple from Toronto who booked the 'Luna De Miel' room for three nights in March 2018. We loved every bit of our stay here and highly recommend. The grounds are beautiful and incredibly peaceful. It's perfect for those looking to get away from the tourist trap

La Selva Mariposa is a clean quaint B&B that is hidden away and is done so by choice. LSM was initially created, owned and ran by an upbeat creative couple from Colorado that have since sold the place and moved on. The ambiance of LSM is still very much there as seen by the

Hi Susan! By far, this is one of my favorite reviews a guest has written to us! As you said, Moe and Lou, the founders of LSM are gone and me and my staff (Liz, Alberto, José, Abi and Israel) have the tough job of running this place with the same quality, highly standards that the place requires every single day. About the directions, i apologize if you have trouble to find the place, i´ved been working more than one year and i don´t know the name of our street, i´m not sure if the little road has a name. The reason we don´t have signs in the outside is to avoid curios people and disturb our guests. The little six and dirty road before: Yes, it is true, the local community has a lack of that type of education that they compensate with extreme kindness with tourists. Again, thanks for this lovely review and come to visit us any time! From Paradise. Juan. General Manager

Hi Irenie! Our B&B is 20 kms form Tulum town so we don't recommend to make that trip in a bike. However we have a sister hotel in Tulum town where we rent bikes so you can explore Tulum town and the beach area. Regards. Juan

The rental car company we used was Rentadora Isis, however we rented the car from Playa del Carmen and not the Cancun airport. We had a great experience and would heartily recommend them! And now for directions...if you are coming from Tulum, as soon as you enter Macario Gomez the turn off will be on your right, onto a dirt road. A good landmark is the convenience store "Six" with a red & white sign I believe, If you use Google Maps you should have no problems however Apple Maps couldn't find it. Once you turn off the main road, keep straight for about 1/8 mile and you will see the sign directing you to La Selva. I hope that helps!

Yes, it is safe to drive from Tulum to Valladolid. We will recomend you to drive in the day instead of driving in the night. Make sure to fill the tank, pay in cash and you will be there in less than 2 hours.
